I think it would. It's very comfortable with .44 specials , even stout loads. I haven't tried it from a rest yet, but from standing and shooting from 7-10 yds, it's very accurate as long as I do my part.
I have the model 69 2 3/4" it's a very nice gun. I treat it as a heavy 44 special load that can shoot 44 magnum.

You can't start to shoot at the swamps until noon...it's always packed there. No joke, if you want a spot to shoot you have to get there by 9:30 or 10am......then be prepared to have a bunch a people bother you by constantly asking to share your spot or asking how long you'll be. Happens to me...
