Get a bolt action

Top and bottom rifles u can switch calibers if u have any interest in that. The desert tech can be a 223 to a 338 lapua by changing the bolt and barrel. The AIAT can convert to anything in the 308 brass family by changing barrels.

Lighting suck but here they are. Top desert tech srs a-1 in 300 win mag, middle is the savage model 10 something something in 6.5 cm in a mdt chassis and bottom is the AIAT in 308

I have a couple savages, I haven’t had a issue with extraction. I did a savage precision build a n 6.5 cm not too long ago with a mdt chassis. I have yet to take it out. Life got busy.

I bought mine at herb Phillipson in Liverpool, it wasn’t long after Remington bought them I think. I had a issue of the action opening up when loaded, it was under tension for some reason. That particular rifle had grouping issues. Marlin did fix the action issue.

The Henry all weather goes for $800-850 online. The plan is to make it a drive rifle, with a red dot of some sort. I had one Remington/marlin 336 in 308mx.....I won’t be buying another.

I like the X model but I like the all weather better. I have been looking to get a Henry in 45-70. I don’t think I have come across the street price of the X yet.

That dereelight is a focusable light. Sometimes I think it too bright. I have identified around 200 yards.

You could try that spring kit up above. It made my fathers compass a lot better

Try a dereelight night master. I can pick up eyes 400 yards out, probably further if I had the room.
