I had to pull down approx. 100 rds. of factory 44 Magnum because they don't shoot well in my Taurus M44. They shoot waaaaayyy to the left. They don't obturate thru my gun. The cylinder throats are .430 and the factory ammo is .429 or 4285. My barrel was slugged at approx. .429 or a little less...
I've had good luck with PPU in 7.62 x 39. I buy lots of 200 and shoot and reload them with Hornady 123g SST's using h4198. It does pretty dang good in my Mini 30 @ 100 yds.
I like to be able to go in and look stuff over hands on so to speak. I don't mind giving local retailers a little profit. I am an independent business man myself. I am a Cabinetmaker Contractor by trade. My son and I do a lot of cabinet work in Ithaca.
That being said, I have done business with...
Yes its Mountainside. Its a shame because they have all sorts of sportsman stuff in stock. Guns, Ammo, fishing gear, reloading stuff, trapping stuff etc. Damn near as good as Mayhoods over in Oxford. I should call them and see if they have reloading stuff. I was there a couple of years ago...
I went to my reloading vendor up in Little York today to pick up some supplies only to find out they are moving to W. Virginia. I damn near got the last pound of Varget but the guy juuusssst before me got it. Anybody have a good vendor in the Cortland/ Tompkins/ Broome/Chenango county area with...
That's the 1911 I settled on. Its a damn purty firearm too. Great shooter, never had any issues with it. I probably have a little less than 1k rds thru it
I thought the disk set up might be tighter. I tried 2 different drums and they leaked pretty much the same. Looks like I need to go to Amazon.
Thanks for the replies folks
This stuff leaks out of my Auto Drum something terrible. I tried swapping drums, Over tightening drums that throw inconsistent loads.
Does the Lee Auto Disk do any better? This stuff is a freaking mess.
Inquiring minds.....
That's a bunch of BS. I would be calling once a week just to get on their nerves. I might consider weekly visits too.
After I started my process in Cortland County, it took 9 months grand total to receive my permit, but it has NO restriction at all.
It was worth the wait in my opinion.
Kitchen table reloading bench. I have a crutch under the press when I am actually using it. I would put it in my woodshop but its too friggin' messy all the time and the wife actually likes me hanging out and reloading. She's a keeper.

Free to a good home. Approx. 70 rds. tumbled but not decapped. Shoot me a PM. Range pick up, all in great shape. I will even pay shipping in NY.
Somebody can use them. I am not interested in them at all. Will trade for 45 acp, 38, 357, 44 mag or 762 x 39 brass if I can.

I have the model 44 stainless steel in 6 1/2" barrel. It shoots where I aim at 6 o'clock. Its built just fine for me. My wife has the 357 in 6 1/2" and she loves it. We have matching guns. We are ghey. LOL.

As a guy who loves to shoot Mini 30's a LOT, I humbly say we use boxer primed brass ammo 99.99% of the time. Maybe you jest and I didn't catch it.

Good luck bowhunting.
