Oh I'm not upset. The last time I was offended was in 1998. Now that you called it a hipster beard I'm upset though (for you). Your wife should be carrying a 9mm though. Just ask Will. I was joking about the video games. I'm a grown ass man in my 30's. No games here sir.
My real world experience must be from video games. The 9mm's don't do much in them. I don't have a cool picture with a tac beard after all...
Anyone with multiple first hand experiences with bullet performance should be well versed in rifle performance. We all know pistols are rarely used in hot...
Just to clarify... I always post things about the .45 being the best ever to mess with my buddy Will. That being said I think for SD use only .357 sig or 10mm in a full size pistol is about as good as you can get in NY. The extra few cartridges the 9mm holds don't really matter when you can only...
Science is science? Back yard videos are not really controlled experiments. That being said the .45 smc outperforms the 10mm. It can be shot from any +p rated .45 acp according to double tap (but I did some modification to mine). Best cartridge ever in the best caliber Will. Get with the program.
Will won't let me use a 450 or .45 super. ACP only. I want a semi auto deer pistol. I already have some .45's so I went cheap and converted one. I was thinking of a 10mm but I'm going cheap and not getting a new gun yet.
Because I like 255 gr swc for deer to be honest. I don't want to hunt with a 9mm or 357 sig. The 9x25 is far from easy to shoot or cheap . The blast will rattle your teeth. It's the only one you listed that has "more power" than the 450 smc or super.
This is my bump in the night set up. Only thing I changed was the stock and forend. It had the express sights and extended tube. It was 350 on gunbroker. It's a police magnum, police trade in.
In a state that only allows 10 things start to even up when you look at firepower per mag. If a person wants a do it all gun in this state I think the .45 smc/acp is a good option. Everything from carry to night stand to the deer woods. I’m impressed with the 160 and 185 grains. The 255 swc...
The 160gr feel like shooting a normal 45 plus p sd. In a steel 1911 they are very manageable. So guys are loading these really hot. I’m sticking to the factory loads. They are plenty warm.
They are not the same. The smc uses a small magnum rifle primer for a smaller primer pocket. That means a stronger case. It’s a .308 rifle case cut down. The ballistics are similar to the super but the cases are quite a bit different.
I have been trying out some of the faster .45 semi auto offerings. These are my two favorites. I'm going to hunt with a 1911 next season.
.450 SMC
The 160 Gr barnes copper at 1350 FPS (648 ft lbs) is my new ccw load.
I also like the 185 gr bonded HP also at 1350 (750 ft lbs) but the recoil is...
If didn't say I was seeing the advantage I said some people. Some want a .45 cal glock and don't like the large grip of the 21. Energy is not the end all be all either but 40 pounds is still 40 pounds. If I wanted a 10 round .45 it would be of the super variety.
Some people can't handle a G21 or a G30 due to the grip size. The G37 is more similar in size to the 17. So you can have all that .45 caliber goodness in a Glock with a normal grip size. Seeing how in NY we can only have 10 some might find it to be a good pistol. I'm not one of them but some...
They chose the gap because they were basically free. Glock wanted to sell a bunch so they gave them to state police. Didn’t quite work out that way....
Trying to think of vertical or horizontal would be more comfortable while driving for hours at a time. I have a vertical for road trips. It’s great for that and while on the motorcycle.
