Not dissing any of them. I recently went for the Ares SCR, and love it so far. Light, handles well, and I'm used to it from doing skeet, trap and traditional rifle shooting. I like the fact that it takes AR uppers and mags. Quite honestly, I bought it with the intention of being able to...
There are comments in the you tube video that say there is a russian flag in the video. While I have no doubt that there is rigging of elections, I'm not so sure this is an example of it (in the United States)
I have never had a problem doing a NICS check, but no way will I get a FOID card if there is any recording of firearm or ammo purchases associated with it.
Glad I've stocked up on Ammo and reloading supplies, at least enough until I get out of this state in 4-5 years.
So, are you a card carrying member of Mensa? SJW for WV, huh that's a good one! :)
Let's assume here for a moment that he legally bought the hand guns in WV. In WV, it is legal for him to purchase said hand gun's without even getting a permit, and in fact earlier this year became a...
I also love how New Yorker's have this superiority complex when it comes to comparing themselves to people from other states. For example, "Simpleton from WV" and "goobers". It's especially ironic in that the left in this state consider gun owners here as "Simpleton's", "Woodchucks", and...
If you are going for a small # (e.g. a thousand or so), bullet guy's prices are pretty darn good , .08/round (I bought some!). If you are going big numbers, brownell's has hornady 55 gr FMJ BT for $419 (for 6000). 22 Cal (.224") 55gr FMJ-BT Cannelure 6,000/Case : BULK RIFLE BULLETS |...
In the end, our system is built on trust and cooperation. This doesn't mean that everyone needs to believe the system is 'fair' and that overall justice prevails, but it does mean that the majority need to be believe that. We've already seen what a relatively small number of protesters who...
Yes. Wishing I had everything set up as Aero Precision AC-15 Complete Rifle actually looks promising. However, it is likely easier to just find something in a local (PA) shop and have him purchase it.
Anybody see the irony in this? That all so important pistol permit investigation, and yet a denied check.
In my latest purchase, it took a good 10-15 minutes for the check to be completed. I was wondering if I was going to see my first 'delay'.
I didn't direct the comment to anyone in particular. Otherwise, I would have quoted you. What I'm saying is that I see this attitude over and over from gun owners, especially in New York as their rights get taken away a little bit at at time. 'Feelings' are what drive the liberal mind...
I am getting more and more tired of Gun owners in NY State basically implying "he got what he deserved" in terms of state and local gun laws. For this specific example, nothing has been stated or shown that the guy was gun running. If he was, then arrest him when he attempts to sell the...
OK, maybe I should change this thread to help me live vicariously through my brother. So, my brother lives in a free state (PA). I would like to give him a nice Christmas gift, a MSR. Since I can't actually buy it for him (as I can't legally own it here in New Yorkistan), he will need to buy...
50K rounds of 308 = big bucks! I now have multiple K (don't want to get too specific here) of every caliber for which I have something to shoot it, along with adequate reloading supplies for each.
Thanks to all for the suggestions. I need to work on proper storage of all this new stuff. :)
Just a follow up on this. My wallets been busy: New Upper, tons of bullets (the actual bullet for reloading), various primers and powder, additional ammo to ensure a very good supply of brass for reloading. Over $2500 in total. I might have to get an extra job.
I have some junk silver (but only maybe $150 or so) along with some silver coins. So it might be good to pick up more of this. I'm also with you that ammo is would be a great barter commodity and should keep up with inflation.
Also liking your idea of simple cheap 22lr, although I already...
Hi all
With the election quickly coming upon us, I decided (a while ago) to buy while ammo and other supplies while things are relatively plentiful. While I don't want to get too specific, I did pick up an Ares SCR along with a couple lowers, along with some ammo for the various calibers I...
ok, so I travel to PA a few times a year to visit family (I was born and raised there). Where are some good places to stop for Ammo that approach on-line prices? I
When Charter arms made them, the quality went to .... Once Henry took it over, they made various quality improvements including a better barrel bushing and changes to the magazines. They also have much better manufacturing quality control. There is no comparison of the old to the new...
