I'm not familiar with the process for amending the Florida constitution, but I seriously doubt that it can be accomplished by a simple initiative vote.
I miss the Tresmonds and Shooter. I have no doubt that they really tried to make a difference, and I appreciate their efforts. But I can't say that I blame them for leaving the forum, given the ungrateful attitude of many here.
