My first thought was "its not April 1st yet.." lol.

I can only imagine trying to move a 33gn projectile at 5500 ft/sec. Lol. Would that be like the space shuttle on re-entry.

The only reason that I clicked on this article is that I saw it advertised on a search and it was mentioned in several articles with photo's no less of the carnage from the critters. Alas, no videos and the screenshots were likely photo-shopped as well.

Looking at the pics, I'm really surprised to not see the primer flattened. That bullet is about the same diameter as the primer, even considering the flash hole would restrict some of the pressure that primer would still have a tremendous load placed on it.

I knew it was a joke, but reading the article and seeing this made me mad.
I mean, it's 2023. Any fake cartridge designer should know better than to create a case with such a sloping shoulder angle. You know how much powder capacity a shoulder like that gives up? Then I saw the .17 Incinerator Improved with that steep shoulder angle and high-BC bullet – all was well with the world again.

The .22 Eargesplitten Loudenboomer still reigns supreme.
