I remember being raised Catholic, and the priests and nuns telling us that God was all around us. That he was everywhere! Anybody else remember that?
I'm thinking that gun owners, - as a group, need to form a new religion (Don't laugh, - it gets done often. Think Kwanzaa, and The Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster which I am currently a member of, in good standing!) Our new religion needs to believe that not only is our God EVERYWHERE, but that our Church is EVERYWHERE TOO! That WHEREVER we go, we are attending our Church as we go about our daily lives.
Seriously, some churches have brick or stone walls, and other churches are simply outdoors (like in The Lillies in the Field movie and their outdoor masses, or just the simple preacher on the street (didn't that tyrannical bitch Hochul say something about us being able to carry on "some streets"?).
I'm thinking that our newly formed religion should be one where the ENTIRE WORLD is OUR CHURCH!!! And if our Constitutional protections cover us in our churches, well... Let the purple tie squad boys stop us while carrying in our church.
I say 'Eff you Hochul and your goons! I'm busy celebrating my religion in my church. Now, get the fuck away from me!

Dress up and it's full size 1911 in a drop leg.
But for a wedding or something formal you're walking down the aisle with a Barrett strapped to your back....
This is good to see, however we already know how the 2nd circuit will rule on it. I don't think it stands a chance. And I don't think SCOTUS will pick it up, not anytime remotely soon anyway. Maybe in 10 years as is the current pace for them to hear these cases.

Then the SC will strike that down as well. They already said yes permits are ok, but you can’t make it overly burdensome, ti e consuming, or costly or it violates the second.Is there any AWB case thats awaiting Appeals Court decision?
I imagine when Scotus eventually strikes them down, states will require registration, liability insurance, barrel markings test, (assault weapons training class).
Its very stupid that Supreme Court only ruled on one specific part of the NY permit requirements and not all.

In my view, the WHOLE handgun permit is wrong. Nothing but a registry. The paperwork is so multilayered it is ridiculous. There, I said it out loud. It is a REGISTRY, not sure how it stands.

Well in NY you don't get licensed, the gun gets registered to you. It's a gun tracking process here. My Conn non-res license allow me to carry any legal handgun.

She can say whatever she wants, what matters is what is written in black and white in the law. Nys politicians can say all they want that the Adirondacks entirely are not a sensitive area, but in the black and white words of the written law it is a sensitive area. Until the written words of the law are changed an individual can be arrested for carrying there.

There are some other tweaks to the law Hochul wants to work out in the budget, including clarifying that firearms are allowed at military ceremonies, funerals and on movie production sets.

And that will be the downfall. I believe in the deposition for christian vs nigerelli the plaintiff was asked if statements by the governor that the CCIA does not apply to the Adirondacks would make him/her feel comfortable carrying in that area. The plaintiff responded that it does not matter what politicians say only what is written in the black and white written words of the law, and that what was written had made it an illegal action that they could be arrested for by any officer of the law, and that unless the spoken word of the governor is somehow a permission slip to break the law.

What does it matter since they said in open court on the record that they aren’t enforcing the CCIA so yes you’re correct the only thing that matters is what’s written down. This is a joke.

I have not made a study of the penal code, but I have read bits and pieces. It is an indecipherable collection of garbage...might as well be in a foreign language. Go back to the Sullivan Act, delete, delete, delete. The code in whole ignores the 2nd.

You can't charge a fee for exercising a right.
Poll taxes were ruled unconstitutional long ago.
So, even if there *were* some background check scheme that was permitted by the constitution (which there isn't), it would have to be at no charge.
