These were not cops that made this charge, it was probation officers.

Probation officers are peace officers under N.Y. law. They are a type of cop.

These people are in violation of rules and an understanding that they agreed to.

Are you prepared to additionally assume that he specifically agreed to possess magazines of no more than 10 rounds as part of his plea deal?

Also, this isn't parole. This is probation. If it was imposed after a trial then he didn't agree to any of the terms. Even if it was a plea deal (which it probably was) you don't get to negotiate and agree all the terms of the sentence in advance. All you may have to go on in a general sentencing recommendation from the DA's office and it's up to the judge to impose whatever they want at sentencing.

I do not know what his terms were, I only stated a hypothesis. Nothing more and nothing less.

I find this to be a complete waste of time. A serious Bullshit charge.

Many places, depending on the convicted charge, states no firearms r firearm accessories allowed to be in possession.

I have seen some very screwed up things listed. How about never being able to have an alcoholic drink during the time. Not being able to drink when alcohol has nothing to do with the charged crime.

Again, I do not like this at all.

I don't think it's normal for family court DV cases as the NY UCS-promulgated form doesn't restrict them:

I'd be sort of surprised if probation was more restrictive than a family offense protective order. That said this form is probably based on the DV statute, but judges can impose more restrictions in both DV and criminal probation cases.

I’d consider a car stop for a traffic violation, resulting in a Safe Act charge to be purely Safe Act.
