After Attending a Trump Rally, I Realized Democrats Are Not Ready For 2020
I’ve been a Democrat for 20 years. But this experience made me realize how out-of-touch my party is with the country at large.

Democrats have an ass-kicking coming to them in November, and I think most of them will be utterly shocked when it happens.

You see, I was one of those Democrats who considered anyone who voted for Trump a racist. I thought they were horrible (yes, even deplorable) and worked very hard to eliminate their voices from my spaces by unfriending or blocking people who spoke about their support of him, however minor their comments. I watched a lot of MSNBC, was convinced that everything he had done was horrible, that he hated anyone who wasn’t a straight white man, and that he had no redeeming qualities.

I was born and raised in Southern California as a life long Democrat. When I heard Trump was going to run for President I found I approved. I thought it was time a businessman ran this country. It was hard thinking that I might vote for eekkk a Republican!! What finally made me WalkAway was when my sister, who was so precious to me and I was so close to, found out I was possibly a Trump supporter and bodily threw me, my daughter and my grandchild out of her house. There was no fight. I just mentioned that I was thinking of voting for him and she exploded. She called me vile names, said she didn’t understand how an RN could be such a horrible person, shoved my daughter while she was holding my grandchild and told us to get out of her house or she was calling the police. We were visiting her from another state and we had flown in for our regular two week visit with her. I had never seen her act so crazy. She certainly wasn’t involved in politics so for her to act this way was shocking. We haven’t spoken in 3+ years and it’s heartbreaking. I did vote for Trump and will be doing so again in November.

I’m not surprised that rabid lefties destroy knitting, of all things. And I like to think most democrats really are not in support of the kind we see in all the memes, but the meme ones are who I think of when I think of a dem winning the oval.

I speak with a coworker 1-2 times week on politics. Including yesterday afternoon. She loathes trump with a passion. Some of her reasons are reasonable (eg he lacks class, is not honest). She admits I make good points from time to time on my views.

She’ll vote dem for sure in November and she knows I for sure won’t. We still respect each other and get on well. I also know neither of us resent the other their views.

My best friend is a huge believer in hillary. Doesn’t see anything she did as wrong or corrupt. She hates Trump with a vengeance. I ask why and she says he’s rude and spoke terribly to women. She makes no sense to me at all. We say we agree to disagree and don’t talk politics but she’s real quick to point out anything wrong the news tells her Trump did wrong

I have gotten some dirty looks and a couple of people almost break their neck snapping their head around so fast as I walked passed them... The crazy bastards automatically think that a red hat is a MAGA hat.

Unless someone makes a living with them something like craftsman is more than good enough... IMO
Actually there are plenty of craftsman tools in my shop tool chest also.

I wear a MAGA hat once in a while when I am in the mood for someone to fuck with me... One day in the grocery store parking lot some fat woman started yelling at me in Spanish. Pretty sure it was Spanish IDK.
The guy that was with her looked pretty embarrassed so I cut him some slack, took the high road, and just walked away.
