The "Latino or Hispanic" question was added to the ATF Form 4473 in April 2012 when the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) updated the form to comply with Office of Management and Budget (OMB) standards regarding race and ethnicity reporting; this change separated the "race" and "ethnicity" questions on the form.

You can also identify as "other" with your reproductive genitalia.

The vast majority of this country is red. Blue is predominantly an urban area. Even in new england which is mostly blue once you go outside the cities the liberal stupidity (mostly) stops.

If there is a civil war it will be between the cities and the rest of the country. We don't need a shooting war. Just blockade the cities and in two weeks they will starve and sue for peace. I am not sure we should give it to them, but I am a cold hearted bastard.

We don't have red and blue states.

We have a sea of red with a couple specks of super deep blue (the cities).

Even the deepest blue states are red except for the cities.

Just tell the truckers to take a 3 week vacation.

That's all it would take.

And they don't get food, water, or power until we reinstate the "landowner" requirement for voting.

That alone would fix what ails us.

How about sliding your completed ballot into the Dominion voting machine and the only receipt you get is one that says your vote was successful, but doesn't confirm who you voted for. Now that's some serious BS.

I just checked to see the final results. Except that CA still hasn't posted final numbers. WTF is wrong with that state? It's more like a 3rd world country with corrupt and inefficient government. If "the big one" hit and that state slid into the pacific ocean I would argue it would be a net gain.

Please don't be fooled by these county by county maps. While I will agree that urban centers are generally deep blue and the rural areas tend toward the red, there is a sliding scale of purple from blue to red areas. Even living rurally I have noticed some Harris/Walz signs in my AO. Not a lot mind you but they are there. For those who live in more suburban areas I'm sure there is a greater mix of left and right. While it warms the heart to see some suburban Karen/Ken get owned for being a hysterical lunatic, these people are intermixed among us. The last thing we would want is to have an active outing at all. Even in the more rural areas are you ready to jump off with your neighbor down the road, the guy who maybe pulled your wife's car out of a snowbank last winter, over some political affiliation? I am as frosty as the next guy, but I have no desire to see how the civil war/societal collapse compares to the scenarios that we all talk about. I don't want to harm or force my neighbor to flee to the cities anymore than the urban dwelling members here would want to flee their homes to the country. If or when it all goes bad we all will do what we have to do, but I think it will get far messier than we can even imagine.

I have no desire for a civil war. I agree such a scenario will get messier than anyone can imagine.

However, if the guy who pulled my wife's car out of a snowbank wants to outlaw my guns, push transgender nonsense down my kids throats and use government to force me to take deadly vaccines against my will - then we've got a problem.

That's a big stretch though. I mentioned earlier Harris or Trump, (maybe in another thread?) that I didnt vote for either of them becauss I have major gripes with both of them.

Harris - I'm pretty pro 2A and hate her position on firearms, I 100% disagree with all the trans crap, I don't care if you do or don't want a vaccine as long as if you get sick you pay for any care you need yourself. If you get sick where a vaccine would have helped then paying for it is 100% on you - pay up or die.

Trump - broad tarrifs are a bad thing. Targeted tarrifs can make sense. I'm pro choice so I disagree with him there. Similar to vaccine - if you don't want one don't get one, if you do you need to pay for it all, it's not the government's job to pay for you.

I'm generally 100% for personal freedom hence why I'm pro 2a, pro vaccine choice, and pro-choice (abortion).

Each candidate is a "package deal". That person down the street might be voting for someone without supporting the entire package since you can't really separate it apart. They can't say, "oohhh I'll take Trump on that and Harris on this".

Well said.

Folks almost romanticize this as if it would play out like Blue vs Gray soldiers lined up on a grass battlefield. It's not happening that way. We are far too integrated politically across the urban/rural landscape. It would look like guerilla warfare throughout.

And there are also far too many assumptions on where the military would factor in. There would not be a wholesale desertion, although there would be some, which could be offset through conscription or foreign aid. All depends on who the military takes orders from, if they don't even become a power unto themselves. In which case this whole left/right paradigm loses its focus if both sides find themselves fighting the military and/or an international coalition.

So, let's not forget the rest of the world. This country is far too critical to world stability for the rest of it to sit back and let it burn. Some might want to stabilize the situation but others would see it as an opportunity to step in and exert control.

There is no telling how something like that would go. It would be the mother of all shitshows.

I can't figure out why people think a civil war here would go any differently than any other place on the globe. Crazy.

I'm going to add this to my post above on all this civil war talk.

The way I see this potentially going down if POTUS wishes to preserve the Republic in the event of civil war is for him to order the military to treat ALL sides as enemy combatants.

That is one way in which the military might find it easier to follow orders to take action against American citizens and remain a cohesive force. They are now divested of their own political affiliations if both sides are equally targeted and the litmus becomes any who take up arms. Period.

Lincoln did what he did to preserve the Republic, just as it should be today. He just had a situation in which opposing sides where neatly arranged between North and South.
