Not going to happen. Big business loves suppressing wages and h1b tech workers aren't really a high visibility group. You think elon Musk who relies on a huge amount of tech workers (tesla, x, spacex) is going to want that? No. Musk gave Trump about 130 million dollars, he's going to get what he wants.

That's why Trump is just another politician in my eyes. The names of who benefit might be different, but he does the exact same thing as the other politicians.

SpaceX can't employ anyone who isn't at least a permanent resident because of ITAR restrictions.
And the sorts that Tesla is employing are I'm such high demand that nobody is losing their job to someone on an H1B.

Honestly, I think the H1B thing is overblown. If you're a tech worker being outsourced, it's probably to a guy who *lives* in India, not an immigrant.

Once they get here they need to be paid pretty well. If you're trying to cheap out you keep them in India.

But when you compare him to Austin as an example - and I am not saying he is fantastic!!!!………….but at least he has come through the process - 4 star general and held numerous significant command positions globally

Following graduation from Princeton in 2003, Hegseth joined Bear Stearns as an equity capital markets analyst and was also commissioned as a infantry officer into the U.S. Army National Guard.[10] In 2004 his unit was called to Guantánamo Bay, where he served as an infantry platoon leader with the Minnesota National Guard. His unit was under the operational control of the 3rd Battalion, 187th Infantry Regiment 101st Airborne Division. He was awarded the Army Commendation Medal. Not arguing.... Of the 21 men who have been appointed Secretary of Defense over the last 64 years, only 15 have even served. Some were very good, others were not. Time will tell.

What concerns me (and I am not ex military so maybe totally wrong) - how does his credibility stack up to say 4 star generals in the field who have had command post all over the world, likely in battle conditions and commanding thousands of men - like Austin as a simple example

How does he stand there and tell a 4 star generals what to do

From my understanding, even the Chairman of the Join Chief will report into him

He will be in essence, Deputy Commander In Chief

I can’t get my head around this one right now

Chain of command is from President to SecDef to theatre commanders and Chiefs of Staff of the various branches.
None of the Joint Chiefs, including the Chairman, wear green tabs on their epaulets signifying that they are in the chain of Command. The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff is the senior military advisor to the President

While in the Military, I reported to civilians. They said, I obeyed.

When I was an MP as an NCO, I controlled all situations that I was in; regardless of those with rank around me.

General respect overall.

The woke virus needs to be rooted out.

Maybe that's what Pete Hegseth brings to the table.

Hegseth... I'm going to parallel my promotion to Program Manager a few years ago. I was procurement, and the PM I worked with was not doing well. One day, my Director calls me into her office, shows me a huge pay raise, and says we're making you the Naval PM representing supply chain. I asked what my job description was. No joke, she said - work with the Senior PM's who lead the program with the USN, learn what they need, and use all of your experience to get them answers, and solutions to their problems. That's it. That was my job description. So I called on decades of experience with Engineers, Quality, Finance, Contracts, Projects, Business Development, Aftermarket, Manufacturing, etc... and gave the Sr. PM's exactly what they needed, and a lot that they didn't know they needed. With Hegseth, he's got the background, he knows how shit is done, and I guarantee that if he doesn't - he knows who to ask that does. You don't get promoted by ALREADY having done the job. You get promoted by showing the competence to figure out a better way to do what the person before you did, or could not.

He'll be fine.

The real key is to have someone in charge that understands that they *shouldn't* tell people what to do.

They should tell people what needs to be done, and then let the people under them who know how things work figure out how to make it happen.

You don't order a drone strike on Qasem Soleimani. You tell the generals that you need Qasem Soleimani to be room temperature ASAP and let them figure out what assets and methods are best to achieve that.

Then the generals work out who they have that's best for the job, and let *them* figure out the next step.

Strategic decisions at the top, but operational details determined as close to the door kickers as practical.

This plan has been in work ever since Fauci (who should be drawn and quartered) began working with the Chinese to create and release a virus into the world. The Chinese dramatized the effects of the virus and the media then sensationalized it. Doom and gloom lead to lockdowns, decimation of businesses and the economy. Fauci helped steer the crippling policy response. The blame was laid at Trump's feet.

It was the pandemic that ushered the use of mail-in ballots. The ideal cover to create phantom voters and hand the election to Biden. Once the safe and effective miracle cure was rolled out the border could be opened (and promoted) to the invaders that were intended to take the place of the phantom voters. One steal was possible but thereafter less probable, the opposition would be more vigilant. Eventually real bodies would be needed. After that they would just be won by way of an indoctrinated voter class. Truly stealing an election is a huge logistical operation and ultimately unsustainable.

Any push to legitimize the invaders was unsuccessful, it would take winning one more election cycle in order for that to happen. Every dirty trick the machine could muster was brought to bear. They failed. And now it appears we are left 10 million voters in the hole. It is no coincidence that is close to the number of invaders allowed into the country, it's a simple equation.

The way all these dominoes fell indicate this was all planned. Democrats have known they were losing their grip on the elctorate and this was the plan. One hell of an operation. Interesting times.
