Pretty much...DMV doesn't demand your SSN#, IS on-line, and WILL give you an answer right then and there...yea, DMV is easier. You mean it's easier to register a 6,000+ lb weapon than it is to take home a box of shells.

All the numbers are subjective, and oft speculative, however the reports of LEO's being severely delayed are prevalent, and those "delayed" far and away outnumber the "proceeds" given on the spot...Must be they're checking your Social Credit Score before giving the go ahead. If law enforcement personnel is getting denied or even delayed with the background checks what can the average law-abiding Joe Schmoe expect to happen?
I'm just saying... This is all so screwed up.
And it's screwed up on purpose IMO.
I have said so much I figured guys were getting tired of me.I'm hoping @CaliberPlus will chime in: There are lots of people coming in to buy ammo that's on the shelf, but few leave with it...It's easier and shorter to register a vehicle at DMV than buy a box of shells.
Yet I cannot submit a check, gun or ammo, without a Soc Sec number. I hate facilitating an illegal activity.“It shall be unlawful for any Federal, State or local government agency to deny to any individual any right, benefit, or privilege provided by law because of such individual's refusal to disclose his social security account number.” Sec. 7(a)(1).

this is why most forms that ask for SSN say optional they cannot require it by federal law

Can't count the number of gang related drive-bys with muzzle loaders. It's become an epidemic.I just had a good friend tell me he bought a new cva Wolf muzzleloader with no background check a few weeks ago. I wont name the hardware store. I thought muzzleloaders were no longer exempt from gun laws here in NY?
Then a few days later he stops at Runnings to buy the " bullets / sabots and is told he must do a background check for those! And he was denied!!
Black Powder Matters. Can't count the number of gang related drive-bys with muzzle loaders. It's become an epidemic.
(per NY) "Who gives fucks about Federal Law, this is New York and we do what we want, how we want."“It shall be unlawful for any Federal, State or local government agency to deny to any individual any right, benefit, or privilege provided by law because of such individual's refusal to disclose his social security account number.” Sec. 7(a)(1).

Sorry, WRONG!!! NYS requires it. I have done just a few of these. Need for ammo too, as I stated.16. Social Security Number (optional, but will help prevent misidentification)
this is from the form Optional
We never tire as what you Post is FACTUAL and from the position of someone actually facilitating both Ammunition sales and Gun Transfers.I have said so much I figured guys were getting tired of me.
It is beyond asinine. More ammo checks get delayed than pass. I think a good estimate of time to sell ammo is about ten minutes. I do not think the big box stores are going to keep selling. I get a knot in my stomach every time I do one, the amount of information being sent is disturbing. I am contributing to an illegal database. EVERY check is contributing. Not sure how long I can do that.
Somebody can tell you that you are wrong but it doesn't mean they are right(per NY) "Who gives fucks about Federal Law, this is New York and we do what we want, how we want."
The Form the Dealer has to fill out REQUIRES (unless something changed since I saw it) via a drop-down box and you cannot proceed without it.
Somebody please tell me I'm wrong.
No infringement here.

Chautauqua County Sheriff James Quattrone. “On Sept. 22, I attempted to purchase two boxes of shotgun shells at a local...www.post-journal.com

NY has created conditions that encourage people to hoard and store ammo. They finally did something right. If law enforcement personnel is getting denied or even delayed with the background checks what can the average law-abiding Joe Schmoe expect to happen?

I was born and raised in rural South Carolina. My entire family is still in South Carolina and I communicate with them often. Therefore, I know exactly what I'm missing out on...It is my sad duty to report that today is a beautiful sunny day here in SC, and that the store shelves are well stocked with ammo for sale to anonymous buyers at fair prices.
Fuck New Yorkistan and the despicable tyrants driving my beloved (and sadly former) home deeper and deeper into a state of economic and social destruction every single day.
Come on down.
