Anyone have trouble reporting a DMP 'transferred tag' kill?

Transferred two DMP tags to my son, for 6k & 6p. He didn't draw any tags, and just recently purchased some acreage in 6p. He gets a doe, tries to call it in to report it, he said he has a total of about 3 1/2 hours of phone time before getting the system to acknowledge his report. He's got more time on the phone than in the woods. Anyone else have difficulty doing this?

Anything over five minutes falls into the "welp, I tried" category.

And that's about 5 minutes more effort than I ever put into it.

Document that you tried to call or send an email to DEChunter. You reported it just not the way they wanted. Not worth getting frustrated over.

To that I say....

If you ever drop off a nice buck at a taxidermist, report it. I personally know 2 taxidermist, old friends. The DEC stops in their establishments regularly, and checks the tags to see if they've been reported. If over 7 days and nope, bye bye rack, and prepare for a knock on your door. And we are well off the radar here.

never had a issue reporting on line .. but 3.5 hours on hold i would send DEC a bill at 120.00 per hour ..
