Anyone have any first hand experience with USA made vs Austria made Glocks?
Barrel would say USAHow do you tell if it's made in Austria vs. US? Barrel on mine says Austria but frame says USA.
From what I hear the process of applying the material is illegal here due to environmental issues, but on the Gen 4's they changed it up and the system is the same in both countries. From what it looks like the main difference is import tax.I've heard that thing about the tenifer is illegal here before but why? It's a much better coating
The EPA ruins everything good! From what I hear the process of applying the material is illegal here due to environmental issues, but on the Gen 4's they changed it up and the system is the same in both countries. From what it looks like the main difference is import tax.
I'm excited for my usa-made glock!![]()
I am a bit confused. The process is not OK, but the resultant finish is? Does that mean any tenifer parts imported are OK? Sorry for my naivete. From what I hear the process of applying the material is illegal here due to environmental issues, but on the Gen 4's they changed it up and the system is the same in both countries. What I gather is that the end product is okay. It's the chemicals, Etc. that are the issue. So imported parts should be fine, but take it with a grain of salt because I could be incorrect.I am a bit confused. The process is not OK, but the resultant finish is?
