Biden AR-15 Tax Plan Would Hit Gun Owners for Up to $3.6 Billion
We’ve warned you in the past of Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden’s propensity toward banning AR-15-style rifles—the most popular type

If I take the pistol upper off my AR pistol and throw my rifle length upper on it (over all length over 26") then my buddy without a pistol permit can shoot the "other" all he wants. This right here is rather interesting.
If I break down my AR, I no longer have a gun?
They need money for that new green deal ... My bet they will start with the AR-15 and extend it to every gun in this country... And for good measure ... It will be a yearly tax ... What better way to limit gun ownership.... Cost you $ 200/year to own that glock... Look what they did to the smokes ...Is this a one time thing or does this need to be renewed?
I thought this article was pretty good. The link didn’t work for me on the article above.https://www.atr.org/ending-sentence-enhancements-soft-taxpayers-not-soft-crime

I think he could probably carry the whole pistol around as long as the upper and lower aren't attached, since NY doesn't have "constructive possession" AFAIK.
Not the same as the federal constructive possession notion that the ATF exercises.
CONSTRUCTIVE POSSESSION
POSSESS means to have physical possession or otherwise to exercise dominion or control over tangible property. Thus a person may possess property in either of two ways:
First, the person may have physical possession of property by holding it in his or her hand, or by carrying it in or on his or her body or person.
Second, the person may exercise dominion or control over property not in his or her physical possession. A person who exercises dominion or control over property not in his or her physical possession is said to have that property in his or her “constructive possession.”
Under our law, a person has tangible property in his or her constructive possession when that person exercises a level of control over the area in which the property is found, or over the person from whom the property is seized, sufficient to give him or

[NOTE: Add where appropriate:
Additionally, the law recognizes the possibility that two or
more individuals can jointly have property in their constructive possession. Two or more persons have property in their joint constructive possession when they each exercise dominion or control over the property by a sufficient level of control over the area in which the property is found or over the person from whom the property is seized to give each of them the ability to use or dispose of the property.]2

“Second Amendment, terms & conditions apply. No rights reserved.” Is a bit of a contradiction isn’t it?
They've pushed too hard. I'm normally the kind of guy that would follow the "rules", but they've made it impossible to do so.
so, fuck 'em.
If they want compliance they might as well start the tattoos, boxcars, and waterless showers. but I guarantee this won't end up like Germany.
I haven't crossed my line yet.+1
Also my thoughts. Everyone has their limits of what they are willing to endure and what's too much. There is that "line in the sand" and pretty soon the leftists are going to be pushing law abiding rule followers too far and they will reap what they have sown.
I haven't crossed my line yet.
But I am at the point where I will no longer condemn someone who has and takes action, provided they are "resisting" the right people.
I'm not ready to slit throats yet, but I am ready to say "well, he had it coming" if I read about it in the paper
There are a lot of different lines to cross.Agree. I'm not saying I've crossed my line yet either. I just meant that in a general sense that different people have different thresholds and perhaps some of those with the lower thresholds are nearing that point
There are a lot of different lines to cross.
I think a lot of people have crossed their "passive non compliance" line.
That’s where I’m at. I just don’t care anymore. My sent me a text and said so and so from your high school class died. I responded good the world is better off. She said that’s a horrible thing to say. Well it is but I’m glad he’s dead before he killed some one who didn’t want to die.I haven't crossed my line yet.

If they come for your AR, there's not much you can do honestly. Maybe take a couple low level guys with you, but really it's not going to make a difference. That’s where I’m at. I’m not for people getting killed for no reason or just a difference in opinion but I have no issue with vigilante justice. None what so ever.
If they demand my AR’s I’m not sure what I will do. I’m on the fence honestly. I would also only ever give them the lower and nothing else if it came to that. Hopefully they would build something else I could adapt to my other parts. I’m sure some one will. All those parts can’t just go to waste. I’ll slide likely do something else with a few incomplete ones I have.
As I recall it was already linked here about plans for an ATF fee on every magazine fed semi auto long gun AND each mag over 10 rounds was on his campaign website and Kamala said this approach will follow for every semi auto handgun capable of accepting a magazine greater than 10 rounds AND a fee for each mag greater than 10 rounds. As I hear it, Dementia Joe will be pushing a National Tax on AR-15's - first.
This will sail thru.
IT'S FOR THE CHILDREN
Other firearms to follow.
