and they say they are going to start their own stock exchange. This should get very interesting
Agreed. Companies like Blackrock are what's wrong with this country.Fuck Blackrock
Sure as heck would get interesting if they did. The witch in Albany will have a hell of a time explaining this one and coming up with funds to replace Black Rock leaving let alone Wall Street leaving. The Stock Exchange has been floating the idea of leaving NY for a while now.
I hope they do.
Wonder if the left will finally wake up to the fact that capital will just leave if you torture it too much.
They'll just follow it and try to torture it in TX.Wonder if the left will finally wake up to the fact that capital will just leave if you torture it too much.
Would be like a ship at sea. What flag is it flying under.Could get interesting once the IRS and courts get involved.
I always wondered what jurisdiction a satellite (in space) bank would fall under. If a transaction actually took place on a server orbiting the earth, who governs that?
Massive wealth will go with it. TX is probably the most favorable state for almost anything that is good for a business, and high earners. TX's economy rivals most countries already. Wall St is about the only thing NY has going for it right now. NYS might even try to go to TX after this. What benefit is there to move the Stock Exchange from NY to TX?
I can see a company moving out of NY to escape the radically high taxes, and other interference in company operations.
But the Stock Exchange is just a listing, isn't it? Does the company listed owe anything to NY for being listed on the Stock Exchange?
The stock exchange itself is a massive company, and it supports a massive range industry built around it.What benefit is there to move the Stock Exchange from NY to TX?

Nope. They will not and they still cannot fathom this.Wonder if the left will finally wake up to the fact that capital will just leave if you torture it too much.
