The grip set it off. Like it!Finished!
The grip and trigger pull is amazing now.
Also had to remove some material under the grip safety, and slightly in the trigger bow channel above and below the trigger to smooth it out.
The most important part was under the grip safety where the bottom of the grip goes into the hammer spring. There was some extra material which was preventing the grip safety from resetting back.

Read that series, great story line.Read the "Survivalist" Books way back in the day, stumbled into a Stainless "Combat Master" a few years ago for what you'd pay for a generic 1911...actually not bad to shoot, and is very accurate.

An Official Journal Of The NRA | Classics: Detonics Combat Master
The concept of a small, concealable, 1911-style handgun for personal defense isn't new. The Detonics Combat Master was one of the early pioneer pistols in the field.www.shootingillustrated.com
Looks great.Got the slide and barrel glass bead blasted for $75.

Why thank you sir - Poorman's Staccato. It probably shoots better than one now.Looks great.
Something’s aren’t as good as the hype and I wonder if the staccato’s are just that. I sure like the stuccato line up but not sure I’ll ever get one. Never seen them around here. Why thank you sir - Poorman's Staccato. It probably shoots better than one now.
Curious as to what you don't like about these brands? I don't own any FN's so have no experience with them. But I do have a couple of Walther PPK's that I like so far. Of course, they have the typical German overly intricate design and construction, but they feel OK in my hands, and shoot well.I own a slew of different guns except Walther, FN, and M&P. I'm not a fan of those brands.

As for M&P, I like the ones I have a lot, - M&P full size in .45; Shields in both 9mm & .45, in 1.0, 2.0, and Plus versions. About the only improvements I would change are to improve the thumb safety on the Shields. I was able to find aftermarket 1911 style ones for the Shields in 9mm, but not yet for the .45, - although I could copy the 1911 design from the 9mm's with a little TIG welding.
Being out here in Free America (Carolinas), my current EDC is the 15+1 Shield Plus 9mm.
