I’m a ccw holder and I am looking to purchase a ccw insurance if I was ever involved in a altercation where I have to draw my pistol to protect myself or my family.i would like insurance that can cover me on lawyer fees bail bond time off work ext.I have read that cuomo did something that made a lot of insurance company’s pull out of New York with that said is there any plans that I can get and is offered to ny residents.

As a national membership organization, yes, the Network provides assistance to members as outlined at Membership Benefits in the state of NY. As you review that web page you will note that the Network’s support of its members is not an insurance product.
The unfortunate hardships for subscribers to the other post-incident support plans (unlike us, they are insurance-based) that have been declared illegal in NY stems from reliance on traditional insurance policies and underwriters, which fall under the regulatory thumb of the state bureaucracy.
As a 100% membership benefits program, the Network maintains its ability to assist members in New York. A comparison between the Network member support model and our competitors is at Buyers Guide and may help explain the differences.

I sat on a conference call last year with them to learn about their service. My concern with ACLD is that they will decide whether they believe you acted lawfully before they defend you. While this makes sense in egregious/obvious cases (eg caught with illegal handgun/not licensed) I wasn’t confident they would stand up for us in NY on something like a featureless rifle or a fixed mag rifle since no compliance methods have been approved by new yorkistan. Maybe someone else here has a better understanding than I do.
What county you live in will make a difference in a legal shooting.
Where I live it is still legal to protect yourself as long as you follow article 35.
I know of several instances where legal shooters were not charged at all in my county.
Depends alot on your procecutors, judges and Sheriffs.

Really the only "featureless" issue that is a little grey is the "pistol grip" situation. However, since NYS police have not defined what isn't a pistol grip is, as long as you don't have a normal pistol grip on the firearm it makes it really hard to prosecute someone for something you've given no clarity on.
Then again, has NYS ever prosecuted anyone for a featureless build? Afaik there are no cases where a featureless option (Thordson, Spur, etc) has been prosecuted, otherwise we'd shortly have heard of these options being out of business by now, yes?

ACLDN is a legal defense fund. When you pay your dues you pay into the pot. They don’t have a whole lot of money but it helps. If all the members on this forum could recruit other NY gun owners we could begin our own legal defense fund with local attorneys on board. I would be on board if someone can put it together.
1 year is $135. Ie $11.25 a month
3 year is $295. Ie $8.20 a month
10 year is $790. Ie $6.58 a month
(I don't know if they do month to month payments or if it's just a lump sum)
