Could the apparent age-bias of the virus be why we are getting such an over the top response? It’s the old power brokers who are most at risk, not the younger upstarts. Are the “old guard” watching the Grim Reaper march up to their front door? As noted ad-nauseum the flu kills more people - but - its less age specific.
