The only banned guns that the Canadian gov't has received have been those that were in stock at gun shops. The first thing the ban legislation did was to prevent dealers from selling any banned item that they had in stock. This amounts to about 12,000 guns. Those guns were shipped to an address in Kitchener, Ontario that happens to be a reasonably short distance from Colt Canada. This is where the whole speculation of Colt CZ Group's involvement began. No proof of anything, just "Hey look - the address where dealers had to send their banned stock is close to Colt Canada ! They must be involved !"
From the beginning, Canada Post has refused to be involved. Alberta Provincial police have refused. Manitoba. Saskatchewan. NWT. And on and on. Alberta and Saskatchewan have gone so far as to legislate their defiance to the ban.
The pilot program of confiscation that the Libs in Ottawa are going to try will be on a small island , part of Nova Scotia where the police chief is all for the ban. The problem is, his officers are not on board and a vote of no confidence is about to remove him. Even on an isolated island this plan isn't turning out the way the liberal government envisioned.
