First, of two bullpups finished today!

Decided to bullpup my Mossberg 500. It's a bullpups unlimited kit. Easy enough to put together, took a half hour or so to dramatically shorten the Mossberg. Uses an ar grip, and safety. Triggers not too horrible. There's some initial take up, then some sponge, hit the wall, then the break. Kind of like a two stage trigger. I was expecting this, it's really not bad. Total length is 34", and that's with a 24" barrel. I may cut the barrel down a few inches, not sure yet. Weight is balanced very nicely. Definitely a big improvement for an HD weapon if you ask me.






And a size comparison to my 10.5" barreled ar15 pistol.

No, just finished putting it together. I don't even have any 12 gauge ammo at home, the panic caught me off guard again. It'll give a little time to decide if I'm going for #4 or 00 buck.

I had one of those for a while. I actually really liked it. It shot and handled really well. Nice recoil pad and the shortened length made for less muzzle rise. Very easy to control.

Yeah, I figure the always on circle dot reticle is a perfect fit for a close up buckshot loaded shotgun. Fast, and easy. Especially if the wife or daughter need it.

Kind of sucks, because I had that on my ar using the 2moa dot, and really love it there too. Guess I'll have to buy another.

For sure. I love everything about the 510. Everything I could ask for in an optic.

No I haven't. Based on all reviews it should be nice shooting. I don't have any ammo, the only thing available is birdshot, or Target loads.

I have a single point sling on it, and it is very maneuverable around the house. Big difference from before.

This gun has taken a back seat and sat in the closet the last 15 years, which is why I don't have any shells for it. It has since turned into my go-to, when 8m able to get ammo again.

I think the recoil spring in the 1100 is the issue with that one. Did see another tactical kit for them but it had some other proprietary system that eliminates the spring.

Showed this build to a friend at work. He asked if I could do his before shotgun season . I told him no, that's only a week away! He was thoroughly impressed with it, and will be giving me his to do after hunting season is over.

I still haven't shot it yet, but have some buckshot on the way now!

Moved my flashlight underneath, and installed an angled forgrip. Having the angle feels much nicer to me while holding, and charging. Picked up 5 boxes of buckshot, don't know when I'll get out to pattern with it. I'm going with #4. This is a house duty gun with longest shot at maybe 20'. #4 will give me 27 hits at that distance in about a fist sized pattern, while minimizing over penetration.

I'm pretty sure that single point sling setups were invented by a severely scorned femin-nazi. Just a theory. LOL.

I had one of these on a 500. I liked it well enough. It was heavy and kinda ugly, but, the butt pad is nice and the extra weight made it a lot better to shoot. The recoil was much more managable. I’ve since restored the Mossberg to its essential form with an overmolded buttstock, and a magpul forend. Now its nice an light, rugged, and all business. Of course it kicks like a mule now too. Shoulder bruiser with the right loads. So, I for shootability Id say the bullpup wins. Now, if they made one of those for a 930...hmmm...

It definitely is a shoulder bruiser, I used to hate shooting this gun, so that's encouraging to hear.
