I figure most folk that like guns like knives as well, blades should have their own forum I think.

I think there are several things that can be grouped together in subgroups.
I am specially interesting in Reloading, Wildcats, Gunsmithin / DIY, Ballistics, hunting, Outdoors/Survival.
I think the knifes will go very well with Outdoors / Survival. Perhaps hunting, fishing and survival all under outdoors.
IMO it is important to have things segregated and well organized so people can quickly find areas of interest vs. have everything in one big pile.
And minimize teh political garbage we had at the other side. We already know who the crooks are.
Again these are just my suggestions. The rest will depend on the direction the Crew chooses.

My point is there is more to knives than just outdoors and hunting, sure it can be a subgroup of something but I would like to see that subgroup encompass all aspects of the blade world, collecting, EDC, as well as hunting and bushcraft.

This is something I've been thinking about getting into.
If there is enough interest we can make a forum for blades. However, it needs to get traffic. Having stale forums looks bad. It's why we started with fewer forums and add more as people want/need them.
I think the potential for traffic could be very high. Pic thread, wish list thread, Would love to see threads of any knife maker's work, designs, and plans. Topics on sharpening/equipment, grind debates, steel debates ect. Lots to discuss.

Im not a huge blade guy, but i am a blade guy. I have a good handful. I was looking into making my own, but no time for all the things i want to do just yet. I was looking into getting a custom knife made to my own specs though.
