In Mass the Law states all Ammo & Firearms must be locked up - Padlocks that are Keyed Alike are the solution

In Mass all Ammo and Firearms must be kept under lock and key. I don't know if this is the case in NYS, but I do know this is on Dementia Joe's agenda.

Surprisingly, the container can be made of Plastic, Cloth, Metal - and the Lock can be low quality.

Still, the number of keys you will have to fiddle with becomes cumbersome very quickly. Here is the solution:

Although I doubt they are made in the USA, these are MASTER locks, that have a certain level of quality that others will not.

And the price is very, very good.

I bought 36; I never want to run out.

I have locks in case they mandate it. I just don't use them on the ammo cause it's kinda stupid. The ammo cans are plastic with a rubber seal.

Can you keep the firearms loaded in your home? Yes, but you have to have them within control, which means on your person or within arm's reach. If you are napping or sleeping they also must be locked up, or on your person. Under the pillow, unlocked, is illegal.

Do they issue concealed carry permits in Mass? Yes, but as usual, cities with high populations of POC make these licenses nearly impossible to acquire. But that's not racist, no.......

Very time-consuming in the dark. I hate combinations.

Oddly enough, I cannot say whether you can simply leave the key in the lock. Or have it attached with a short tether.

But if you buy enough Keyed-Alike, you can stash keys in many places, so as to reduce the possibility of losing a key to a minimum.

And, as I said, in Mass cloth bags are allowed. As long as they have zipper pulls you can pass the shackle thru. In a pinch, cut the bag open.

They got nap police in Mass?And I thought NY was fucked up.
Forget keys,get a combo lock and leave it set so you only have to spin it 2 or 3 numbers to the last digit in the combo.

Another "common sense" law. ..On a side note...mostly dems crying about the "invasion" on the 6th and they were all acared to hell and back. Well...live in a bad neighborhood and see how calm a person is day to day. A HUGE deal made about the invasion and tracking down every perp but nothing even close to that with riots and statues being torn down. One cogress woman today said the Capital is the "temple of justice" and I believe that uppity bitch believes she's a goddess.

As I recall, a man lost his LTC when he had a Medical Issue.

911 was called, and they saw his Handgun on his Bedstand - unlocked.

They were required to report this infraction.

In Mass you require a Firearms License to own even spent Cartridge Shells (or even fake ones).

#2... I guess they all dismiss, as Mass has done previously, the SCOTUS ruling noting that keeping a firearm rendered unusable "IN THE HOME" defeats its purpose in consideration of "Self Defense!". One of the tenets of the Constitution, let alone a Right of Man, not bestowed upon citizens by the Gov't...

This environment, "The Home" is under assault, make no doubt about it... Here in the most prejudicial manner, declaring basically that in your home, your castle, your most private and protected environment, you must submit and relinquish ALL rights ... That of self preservation, that of the ability to not be subject to authoritarian invasion as to acceptable behavior within, that of the State having the power to encroach upon your residence for compliance without probable cause other than you own a firearm.

The slope is almost upright and the slide to the bottom unhindered... Is really an alternate universe we woke up in one day in 2020... No Joke!

unenforceable until somthing happens that allows them to search a home legally..and then they use the "law".
