KAK Industrys getting into the 9x39 game

So it looks like KAK has 9x39 barrels and uppers for sale.

I'm sure if anyone has questions on the 9x39 or why that's exciting @meketrefe can clear it up.

Yup, and hopefully if this ammo picks up popularity as fast as say the 300blk did maybe someone here in the US will make a Val clone

As far as an AS VAL, they're epic sure. But function-wise, I don't see how it does anything .300 Blackout doesn't... In fact, it's worse because it's a bit slower than it needs to be, on top of having a larger bullet diameter, and therefore lower ballistic coefficient.

For novelty, yeah definitely. But I don't think it's anything groundbreaking, except for when it came out in the first place.

The 9x39 has been around for a while.
It is mainly aimed at the sbr/subsonic world and far from the versatikity of the gunner.
With that said, it can be pumpes up with acual brass and the right gun/setup.
As far as the blackuot goes, there are so many better choices than that will take for ever tonlist them out.
Moat folks who understand ballistics knownthat. It is a +p+ 30 carbine for the AR inrerwebz comandos.

Do you even have to ask? One has been used by the Russian military since the 80’s. They don’t mess with gimmicks haha

between a 180gr match bullet and a 250 to 300gr purpose built bullet there is a big difference.
With that said the purpose defines the purpose and not the bullet. youndecide on the bullet and gun later not before.
The 9x39 is a great.eound but it could be a bit better.

It is a fair question. The round is built after then7.62x39 to be also made of steel like the parent casing. This way is very cost effective following their current manufacturing processes and standards.
This is the thing, the 30 caliber is obsolete for both pistol and rifle compact cartriges.
In the MBR supeesonic use for infantry they went with the 5.45x39 that displaced the 7.62x39 and in the subsonic world they went with the 35 and heavy grain that is still pretty decent ballistically and more lethal than the 30 caliber.
The wisper / blackout doesn't do great at neither department but it is conceuved as a subsonic round, thus the name whisper.
ImHO, Subsonic systems and rounds need to be dedicated to be the best with its benefits and limitations due to being subsonic in the first place.
A 45 ACP can deliber lots of grain subsonic wo reinventing the wheel.
