The corrupt and politically motivated Lawfare prosecutors state they have serious concerns about handing government secrets to a third party and will not allow it.
In essence, the DOJ-NSD, an agency within the justice department created by Eric Holder, is claiming no one outside the DOJ-NSD should be allowed to review the documents they have defined as “national security” interests. Main Justice really, really doesn’t want anyone seeing what the DOJ-NSD are defining.
The DOJ lawyers begin by telling the judge she must respond to them on their timeline, or else they will go to the eleventh circuit court of appeals and have them block her ruling. Do as we say, or else…

reti, The 11th Circuit will very likely uphold Judge Cannon’s order for a special master:
- Appeals judges do not frequently overturn trial judges’ orders, because they do not want to erode the public’s trust in the justice system, whose foundation is the trial court. Sometimes a law isn’t clear, so the appellate courts provide higher-level expertise that includes a reversal. But Judge Cannon graduated top of her class from America’s oldest public law school, a venerable school that has produced 3 SCOTUS justices.
- Judge Cannon herself did a Circuit Court clerkship, and she has made many appearances before the 11th circuit, as a federal appellate attorney. So the judges know her personally and they know her work. She wouldn’t have been promoted if they complained about her work.
- The majority of the 11th circuit judges are Trump appointees. They are constitutional originalists, endorsed by the Federalist Society.
- Harmeet Dhillon opines that the DOJ lawyers, in their over-exuberance to “get Trump”, failed to do their case research. They failed to notice they cannot appeal a District Judge’s special master order under 11th Circuit precedent. If Harmeet is right, it’s one more well-placed shot to the DOJ teams own foot.

The warrant might be tainted. It was arguably too broad to be constitutional. Any papers created from 2017 to the end of his presidency? Some are not presidential papers and were clearly covered by attorney client privilege— the FBI took them anyway. If the warrant is ruled no good, the whole case gets thrown out.

You don't unstamp documents when they are declassified. The stamp is permanent.
Every document that has ever been declassified probably has some copies kicking around somewhere with the stamp still on them.
That doesn't mean they are still classified.
As POTUS Trump was not required to notify anyone when he declassified a document.
Not only do you not have any proof they weren't declassified, you cannot even in principle prove such a thing.
Trump is not required to prove anything. As the defendant in such a case his lawyers would need to merely claim it happened and then the onus would be on the DOJ to prove it didn't happen, and that is an impossible task.

Lies. Declassified documents need to be restamped. The National Archives and related agencies need to be aware so copies can be restamped.
Trump had 1.5 years to restamp them. He did nothing of the sort.
