Need Help Finding .22S Subsonic

My FIL returns or won't accept gifts from my wife and I. So this year I want to get him something he can't return and won't turn down.

He has been having a hard time finding .22S subsonic ammo. Anyone know of a place that is selling or will ship to NY?

I just checked gun broker, they have some but of course won't ship to NY.

Depending on the gun and twist you might be able to shoot 22lr or ream it for it that then will shoot both.

It's not as hard to find .22 short. It's the subsonic he wants.

Looks like this is rated at 1095 fps which is subsonic by about 130 fps but still faster than the 1055 standard velocity SV.

I know a guy who shoots those from a bolt action. Has an "attachment". All you hear is the click of the hammer and the bullet hitting the target at 25 yards

Where I live and under average atmospheric conditions Mach 1 is about 1105 fps, so when I shoot .22 shorts sometimes there is the 'crack' as the round goes off, sometimes there isnt

I know. Some guns will shoot both subsonic with the 22lr being more powerful yet cheaper.
That is why I asked

Is the firearm he shooting a 22 short only? If it is a 22 s,l and lr CCI Quite are 710 fps same as 22s subsonics.

This is why I was asking. I’m sure I have some 22lr subsonics I would trade you for any other 22lr, but I dont have shorts.

I seen the CB rounds but read that they don't work well unless the firearm is chambered for them.

If this is incorrect I am all ears.

The package says subsonic. I used to shoot cb rounds back in the day with a lever action because they wont cycle a semi auto. It was chambered for std 22 and they worked fine.
