The only reason to nuke NYC is the shock factor. It is not the center of anything, except maybe corruption.
Yeah, it's got a museum or two, maybe a few theaters, but these can all be found in thousands of places across the U.S.

The city itself. It's a metaphor. I married a girl who lived in Brooklyn for several years. It's what I saw in her, the attitude. Still do.
I worked in the city for over 20 years, and met many fantastic people. I still feel most comfortable around NYC expats.
But the city itself is a stifling, festering bureaucracy. It wasn't so bad in the '90s under Giuliani, but with the leftist politics today, I don't go anywhere near the place.
