By my rough calculations, it would be $20/year. But we all know that $20/customer/year won't be going back to ratepayers. It will go into the pockets of the companies. No way are they reducing the bills.

If her poll numbers don’t rise and I’m not sure they will I don’t think she will have party support either. Last I looked her poll numbers were a joke but she’s been tossing money around like crazy. I’m not sure it will be enough to get the people on her side.
If he losses the primary it wouldn’t surprise me if he runs third party in an attempt to beat her. He thinks he can win and he might. He’s a nut job but she’s power hungry.

Electric utility company usually puts infrastructure upgrades to serve a new house on the customer as well. If you’re building a new house in NYS you’re double screwed. And an idiot.
National Grid needs more gas customers, and will likely sabotage this law...........National Grid was paying anyway, and an incentive will likely offered.

NYS has screwed the gas companies and abandoned them. They want them to fail at this point to go full electric on everything. I doubt an incentive will be offered with NYS possibly getting rid of natural gas as a fuel. If this occurs they would never see a return.

Far too many have restrictions that prevent leaving.
for example, my in-laws won't leave (they believe other States will tax my FIL's state pension) so the missus and I can't leave as we need to be here for them.
I'm still a firm believer that a person should not have to flee their home due to tyrannical state governments, but more and more I see there is no recourse left in NY. Republicans can't gain a foothold and the courts REFUSE to do anything about these egregious infringements.
I've also looked into possibly buying a real house, and not having the deed to my home issued by DMV. But, OMFG, between the taxes/fees, and the cost of homes, I'm stuck here.
There's no money i the Gas itself, it's that "Delivery Charge" (and Taxes upon the Service) is where it's at: Read the breakdown of your Bill and figure that against most every Building where NG is Supplied.
Most Gas Appliances are made with Natural Gas usage in mind, but when we build our next House, I WILL be using Propane...Yes, it takes a little more work and you have to have it delivered, but 500 (or more) Gallons at a time is very doable...NY and the fucktards downstate can have their Utopia and I'll have my peace of mind while not playing with their Rules, after all, Albany decided years ago that I'm an undocumented felon.

I stay to get finish my job and get a pension. I’m too old to start over and work another 20-30 years for a pension. It’s part of my retirement plan I’m stuck here until mid 60’s and then I’ll probably be too old to leave.
I wanted to leave earlier and I should have. I could have moved out west about 10-15 years ago and I really wish I would have but that would have meant uprooting a teenager. Probably would have been fine but he’s a rigid and routined kid so it would have been tough on him. Now we have aging parents and kids in college so my wife wants to stay to see where the kids end up.
