Why doesn't the page open to the newest POST?
Opening a Post thread and does not go to latest Post banner for the "NEW" comment.

because you would miss everyone's wisdom by skipping over unread post.

Mine starts with newest post, must be something you`re doing on your end. Maybe check your "preferences" within your account?
Depending on your settings, generally in a many page thread you're going to be brought to the last page you've viewed. The newest post you haven't seen. I believe this is maintained via cookies though , so if your cookies have been cleared it's going to go back to page one when you open it again.

see, for EVERYBODY ELSE it does go to the top of new posts and they see it there.
however for JUST YOU , as the OP, because you have already viewed it in creating the post, it does NOT go to top of new posts as it is no longer new. So the universe appears to be against just you on this issue
In reality it is a design feature to prevent people from creating multiple posts just to see themselves on top of the leader board in “new posts”
Almost seems like an answer from Hollywood Squares
