Either way this will hurt them; I've used them a few times (but only when I have codes, got a Vortex Venom for $180 with code), but will look elsewhere just on principal.

Maybe if the rest of the country goes back to 10 rounds it'll accelerate FUAC-Act being seen by Supreme Court?

I don't have the time or energy to look through the exact laws they are referring to, but if they are selling to people outside of Illinois it should not matter. I don't exactly fault OpticsPlanet from not wanting to keep track of the 50 different state laws (I can barely follow one), but they probably could have been a little more up front.

Having had more time to read into the matter last night, it appears they never really sold a large amount of magazines anyway.

So here is there statement in a briefing. There local law is preventing them from selling a product. They are still selling all legal products. They have never caved to the emotional feelings of any anti 2a political or person. They offer great service and great pricing. And people here are already ditching them? Do you people read past headlines that are boycotting this business? They stopped offering larger then 10 round magazines. Shoot by all your protesting of this company as New Yorkers we should protest and boycott NY. Come on guys and girls let's show NY and move out of this Shit Hole. Your thread title is fake ass news. They have not turned on anyone. They are being forced to do what the law says. Just like 100% of the gun owners in NY do everyday. Give me a break.

well first off. When I read stuff like this, Im suspect there might be a legal issue at work here. I suspect that because the signature came from "RISK MANAGEMENT" and not from "MARKETING"

I know it's still a preference thing, but can someone explain the Dicks/F&S hate thing to me? All I know was that after Sandy Hook, someone affiliated with them believed that you shouldn't have AR's or whatever else and that's why my friend said he wasn't buying from them anymore. Except that F&S still seems to sell AR's and other pistols, rifles, ammo, shooting accessories, etc. They always worked for me when my LGS didn't have what I needed. Prices are always good too.

My view is, I don't care what your views are, unless you're not selling it to me. As long as they still have guns and ammo, I'm willing to buy...unless there's something else.
