We're doing a refi here. The number the appraiser came back with was pleasantly surprising.

It's a shame. I lived in Newport News for 4 years. I would move to that state in a heart beat especially since I would no longer have kids in school. Public schools there were crap. You’d need roughly half of the registered democrats that vote to leave nys. Clinton best him handily in nys. Only by 1.7 million votes.

It's a shame. I lived in Newport News for 4 years. I would move to that state in a heart beat especially since I would no longer have kids in school. Public schools there were crap. You had to go to magnet schools. My older son did an internship recently at NASA in Hampton VA very close to where we used to live. Love that whole area.

That's part of the reason we left the south. I still remember proofreading a paper a friend of mine wrote. He had a degree. I can't remember why I was editing it, but I was like holy fvck. This is why teachers make $27k/year and our property taxes are $1100/year. Not that the situation here is ideal, but they swung way too far the other way.

As for NYC Deblasio is denigrating these people by calling them fair weather friends, even though his bullshit city sucks huge amounts from the wealthy.
