Appearing before Congress or Congressional Committee really is a joke; Congresspersons "examining" the witnesses just hurl accusations and leading questions while the witnesses being questioned respond with "I don't know/remember/have knowledge" or I'll have someone from my Office get back to your Staff with the answer to that....It's all bluster and bullshit that they pay themselves handsomely for sitting (especially for Chairing) from which no arrests are ever made, no one is held to account or has their funding removed, and as for budgetary cuts it works like this: your budget increases 6% from last year, but in light of the Directors malfeasance, we're only giving you a 3% raise.
Gentlemen, I am quite certain that the Congressional body must be replaced in its entirety, including and especially the Staff that really runs things...Elected Officials come and go while the bureaucracy never changes.
