Another thread got me thinking that maybe this would be a good topic. Let's start discussing the next nominee for 2024.

Who do you want to see or think would do a good job?

It's likely to be Trump, I'd prefer DeSantis, my ideological choice is Rand Paul. In the case of a Trump nomination I want either of the two previously mentioned as VP.
Personally I think Trump is too old at this point but I will vote for him if he is the nominee.

Right now however it is more important to focus on booting tge left out of congress and even more importantly we must all become more involved at the local level politics and displace leftists in city councils, mayor's, school boards, comptroller ect. Fix this country bootstrap style via grass roots action. Parents vigorously protesting leftist garbage at schoolboard meetings is just the start. Kick tge left out, all of em. Boot em out, trample em down, demonize, destroy, eradicate.

I would prefer a government run by Rand Paul.

But I don't think he can fight as effectively as Trump. He will try to compromise too much.

If you could fill the government with Rand Pauls that would be great.

But if it's still full of shitweasels, then you need someone else to fight them.

I agree that Rand is probably too idealistic to effectively combat the Washington rot that is why I also support DeSantis as he seems a little more pragmatic and has great big balls. Nevertheless as a true Libertarian and longtime supporter of Ron Paul I would vote for and support ardently a Rand Paul presidency.
I agree that we would all be best served by Trump staying out of the fray and instead acting as a kingmaker however it is clear Trump is gearing up for another run at the oval office.
As for Ted Cruz- he is an opertunistic, pandering, little toadie shit weasle.......... although his flat tax proposal seemed pretty sound when I read all his points and details of the proposal. He's still a shit weasle however.

A nomination containing any 2 of the following would be good - Trump, Paul or DeSantis.

The upside of Trump as POTUS is that he pisses off the DemonRats so much they can't see straight. Then a hard core freedom VP could work behind the scenes to decimate the DemonRats.

ETA" Also, Trump as POTUS with DeSantis or Paul as VP would curb the DemonRats proclivity for "impeachment" - it would be frying pan into the fire.

I love Trump but think he will be too old to govern 2024-2028. If he's the nominee I would happily vote for him but would probably prefer someone younger.

The democrats have way over played their hand and have lost most of the center, and most of the states that mater i.e. actual battleground states have defortifified their elections making it much more difficult to pull the shenanigans they did in '20. We are in the dark before dawn, the left was given a length of rope and they are in the process of hanging themselves with it. The left never had a mandate, tge harder they push their shit the worse the eventual reprisal will be. If they push as hard as they would like, there will be a violent revolt. People won't have a choice as leftism taken to its logical conclusion leads to literal starvation. What choice will the masses have then but to rise up? Won't even get that far, tge leftists are setting themselves for a massive political defeat worldwide, sooner or later. People are dumb, but not that dumb.

I don't think you will see Desantis in a big way come next election. With his wife recently diagnosed with cancer, the timing will be very rough to run that sort of campaigning. Too bad we need him the next go around!

They don't have to all be Rand Paul, but they need to have a moral conscience that is backed by some serious thought. Not this flip-flopping bullshit outwithout reason like we see from the likes of Hochul and others to fit the flavor of the day.

Grow a spine and stand for something you have thought about and believe strongly about. I can respect that of anyone who actually does that, regardless of their conclusion and if I agree with it.
