No. It says (rudy) was punched and then dragged out if his car into the median.

I am a bit suspect. It usually takes two sides to escalate like this. “The aggressor cuts rudy off, then slams in brakes and gets out”. Usually the guy getting cut off is pissed off......?

100%. Ill give 3 to 1 odds the victim gave him the bird . Not that that is any kind of justification, Its just that some people will fight at the drop of hat .

Right in front of where I work. The suspect would have needed surgery for multiple holes in the chest had he tried to rip me out of the car.

I've often wondered about an incident like this. What if you're accosted like this, you have no means to escape cuz you're blocked in from the vehicle behind you and some pos is aggressively approaching your vehicle with obvious intentions. I personally would want to get out of my vehicle away from my son and out of the restricting confines of the vehicle. Provided you didn't escalate or provoke the altercation, you would be justified exiting and drawing your weapon i would hope.

Depends what you drive and the lay of the land. Use your vehicle to push vehicles out of the way. Jump the median. Cut into a parking lot. Drive on someone’s lawn. When driving do your best to always leave yourself an out. My truck will push a fair number of other vehicles on the road.

I always make a point to leave a good amount of space at stops between my car and the one in front, but if an asshole stops short, you may be left with no choice. My car's got some cajones (WRX) but it ain't pushing anything out of the way.

Traffic always backed up at that location. I would say that if someone is pounding on my window I'd have police on the phone with my gun drawn.

I hope the guy doesn't lose his vision.

Last Sunday some guy had it out for me and I don't even know what I did. At first he gives me the finger.
Then at the next intersection (red light) the guy gets inches away from my back bumper and starts revving up his engine.
I get the green light and proceed to the next time I have to stop at red light. At this red light the guy actually lightly
tapped me on my back bumper with his car twice. I was driving the wife's car so both vehicles had about the same bumper height.

I am a attentive driver, it seems to me that if I accidently cut him off or something like that I would of known.
I don't know why the guy had it out for me. Mistaken identity? IDK.

In my younger years I was a brawler or in other words I was an asshole. Now I am a healthy 55 years old, even at that age I just know that I could still throw em pretty good if I needed to. To this day I still work on both my speed and heavy bag.
I'm capable of doing good if it goes to the ground also. Like anything else in life, if you do a lot of something ya get good at it.

But I'm older and wiser at this point in my life so I stayed in my car. Although I was hoping that the guy would follow me home. If he followed me and came onto my property all bets would be off at that point. I figured that If I got in over my head that I would let my 2 GSD's out of the kennel. I don't like the idea of putting my dogs at risk but just like my cats, they have a job to do, and family protection is their job first and foremost.

Thinking back on it I am still like WTF was that all about.

When I was a kid I had someone tailgating, then getting in front slowing down and playing all kinds of games. He had me so aggravated I got in front of him with my pos Ford escort and slammed my brakes while going 55.

I learned a lesson that day, so did he. He ended up doing three donuts in the highway. I'm lucky I didn't get someone killed. I've been a nice, patient driver ever since.

TL DR; I got chased by a lunatic and got away from him by beating a freight train across the RR tracks.




A few years ago I was driving down a back road and a pick up truck was coming right at me in my lane.
The asshole was trying to make a crazy attempt to pass the car in front of him. It wasn't going to work so instead of backing off and falling in behind the car that he was attempting to pass he ran me off the road. It was either that or a head on collision.

As we passed each other I managed to flip him off with my middle finger. As I am driving the car (wife's car again)
back onto the road I see in the rear view mirror the asshole is doing a really fast u turn. I'm thinking this guy is nuts
but I'm not to worried about it because this back road has a few really sharp corners and the car will easily out run a 4x4
truck especially considering the sharp corners that were coming up ahead.

Surprisingly I couldn't lose him and I was hauling ass. The asshole somehow took those curves right with me.
At this point my thought process was this.
1.) There was a passenger in the truck so I am out numbered at least 2 to 1 and there may be more in the back seat.
2.) The way that he attempted to pass a car on a solid line, also instead of backing off he ran me off the road.
3.) Now he is chasing me like a maniac because he got the finger for running me off the road.
4.) This asshole is out of his freakin mind.
5.) I need to make it to the farm where I can get some backup from the guys there and even the odds.

A couple of miles before the farm there are a set of RR tracks. Coming up on the tracks of course with my luck the gates started coming down. I'm screwed, except for the fact that I knew that it was a freight train and not a Amtrak.
So I knew with a 100% certainty that I had time to get across the tracks and to the farm.

The asshole chasing me didn't have time to beat the train so I drove to the farm and waited for the asshole to drive by.
Or pull in and get his ass beat until he is begging for mercy... But that was the end of it he must of turned around at the RR tracks.

I told the guys at the farm that it was like a Burt Reynolds movie the way I went across the tracks and got the train
between me and them... LOL

I don't like to bring LE into my life and will handle my situations myself. But in this case while I was being chased I
almost did call 911. I probably should have in this particular case looking back on it.

I am no snowflake, quite the opposite actually. But I will admit that my hands were shaking a little bit after the fact.
I kept my eye out for that truck for about 2 weeks before things went back to normal for me.

I drive a truck, and could pretty much get out, or over whatever I need to. BUT, if you let yourself get blocked in it makes it that much tougher to extract from the situation!
I can't, believe as busy as that area is, that no one got out to help this guy!! WTF is wrong with people when they will let someone get beat down so badly?

A good rule of thumb, when stopping at a red light or in traffic, is if you can see the bottom of the rear tires of the vehicle in front you will have enough room to drive around that vehicle. Will not do anything if you are boxed in on both sides so stay out of the middle lane.

I had a road rage incident turn into an epic road race incident way back when.
Not sure what I did to set him off but he was livid. The guy eventually pulled into a gas station behind me and I was ready to rock but he ended up being surprised he couldn't keep up. He just kept asking me what I had under the hood and if I had used any spray. In the end he was actually kinda cool and was a motorhead.

And leaving yourself an out at intersections and the like is a good habit to get into.

That's always been my reference. Plus always checking the rear view in case some tool doesn't realize we're stopped.

I always revel in how close people get to the car in front of them at red lights. Like they have to be those extra few feet closer to where they're going or something.
