10-04...been tough finding anyone to ship ammo to NY...for example Optics Planet has some great sales...but won't ship to NY. The money I saved easily covered the NY transfer fee.

That’s only relevant if you’re ok with a background check on ammo, I’m not. Thanks for posting and glad you had a good experience but this is a huge problem for me. I’m not a felon or prohibited person but it’s a huge government overreach and sharing your social security number with tons of people is not recommended. I’ll take a drive to get what I need.

Walked into one of the largest and well reviewed FFLs on the FL Gulf Coast recently, and the good old boy owner was initially reluctant to sell ammo to me (because of the hat I was wearing they offered a 10% discount if I showed them my driver's license) after they saw a NYS driver's license and recalled chilling fear threats from Leticia James.
Eventually I got an apology, a thank you for fighting the good fight behind enemy lines, and a 15% discount after they learned some new words during my FUKH, FULJ, & FU2uCommieBastard tirade.
BTW, their inventory of common calibers was not impressive.

Only thing I shoot that I cannot reload is Rimfire, and I could buy the setup for that as well...I have seen it done...25acp right through 50BMG.
Im less than a mile from PA.
Im not selling our family land in NY until I get a good price.
Fortunately I have a business in PA so I can have the toys I want......just not at home.

At this point it is best to get yourself a network started to fight the prohibition. My cousin comes up from GA every year for Christmas. He will bootleg as much hooch as his SUV can handle. Another friend of mine will be driving from Texas this spring. He bootlegs for his kids that still live in NY and always spares room for me. In a pinch I am always willing fire up Flathead and make a run to PA for as much hooch as I can get.

I stocked as heavy as I could, started a decade ago and I'll dare say that there isn't too much I'm wanting for, however "you can't have too much ammo" and you can't have enough supplies.
