I heard the initial call was for a domestic. I talked to a former co-worker early. That is what he told me.

I do wonder, what kinds of perps are they? Most curious about their background, education level and home life.

WTF? Someone in a residence shooting at cops requires a warrant to enter? Since when? If a crime is being committed in front of them they can go in due to exigent circumstances. I'd say someone coming out shooting qualifies

LEOs should be able to, legally, enter the building to check for additional shooters, or possible victims in the building. I small a rat...

The residence belongs to his parents who were apparently out of town at the time of the shootings. He didn’t come out of the house shooting. He was actually hiding out in the backyard and ambushed the Syracuse city police officer as he walked around back. Apparently after that he ran towards the front of the house and shot one of the first officers he saw reacting to the shots he fired out back. ( I listened to a live interview yesterday with Sheriff Toby Shelly)

P.S. I’m not sure why the original article conflicts with the interview that I listened to.

So now I’m seeing rumors that the criminal used an AR. I can’t find any official word on what type of firearm was used. If it’s true that it was an AR then you think that would be all that Albany would need to start pushing more gun control. The fact that Albany has been strangely quiet on this tragedy and has not jumped at the bit to immediately start using this to push more gun control is very weird.
