On their way, they stopped in Lexington to arrest John Hancock and Samuel Adams for treason against the crown. This action resulted in the opening shots of the American Revolution.

Having just defeated the British and won our independence, the founding fathers of this country knew that having arms in the hands of the people was paramount to opposing a tyrannical government. Keeping arms in a central location and out of the hands of the people defeats the purpose of having an armed populace.

Further, the Second Amendment codifies an existing, basic human right. If the Second Amendment didn't exist, you and I would still have the right to defend ourselves and to use weapons to this end.

As your liberal teacher these questions:
A) Why in Switzerland with one of the highest gun ownership in the world there is barely any violent crime.
B) Why Mexico with strict gun control is the 2nd deadliest country in the world in terms of murder 2nd to Syria that is in a civil war.
C) Why should anyone trust a government who wants to eliminate the population's means for protection while they all have armed security anyway?
D) Most tragedies occur in Gun Free zones that are not really gun free since there is no secured perimeter. Imagine if we did the same in airports and court houses as we do in campuses and other gun free places, this means no metal detectors or scanners, no secured doors. What is the point of having a gun free zone in a school, concert, church if we do not follow the same procedures we have in airports, courthouses, etc...? Any security expert, military, leo, will tell you that they are creating a false sense of security and leaving the people exposed. It is like the road controls w/o an actual road block and a way to stop a vehicle. What good is for w/o a neutralizing solution if these bastards decide to run over crowds?

I am sure there should be a concern for violence and security but it cannot be simply the guns fault right?

• Jewish law set forth in the Talmud states, “If someone comes to kill you, arise quickly and kill him.”
• Early Christian doctrine has long asserted the right and duty of self defense. Thomas Aquinas wrote “Someone who defends his life is not guilty of murder even if he is forced to deal his aggressor a lethal blow”. Samuel Rutherford, a 17th century Presbyterian theologian stated the “Each individual has personal and unalienable right to self-defense, even against government. “ Even Jesus, advised his disciples to arm themselves in view of likely persecution. Luke 22:36.

The right to keep and bear arms implements the unalienable right to individual self-defense against aggression of any kind. Self-defense is the ultimate right of all individuals to preserve life. The rights to a free press, free speech, assembly, and religion do not matters much if an individual can’t defend their own life against aggression. Also, no rights matter when an evil government is fully armed and its citizens are disarmed.
