The wait is KILLING ME...

Living in NYC it tough... Filed for my premise/target permit almost 4 months ago. Still haven't heard a word from 1PP. I know and understand about the scandal that took place last year when it came to obtaining permits/carry permits in the city. That said, when I was finally able to get in contact with my investigator, I was told that they're only up to April!!! APRIL!!! They're almost one full year behind? I don't understand THAT!!!

I was HOPING that by this time I would have at least had my interview with the investigating officer. Frustration is such an understatement. LOL End rant...

We should start a contest for who has the longest wait. I didn't have my phone interview until 13 months and 21 days. I still have to have my face to face at the police station. Been waiting another two weeks for that now, and still nothing. I betcha I'm looking at two years start to finish.

If I remember right ~14 months start to finish in Ulster County. That includes 2 months misplacing my lic.

I'm in a suburb of Buffalo in Erie county. It's for a CC license. Likely to have restrictions on it, too.

You should take on a part time job while you are waiting to take your mind off of the wait, the money you save will buy you a few nice handguns when the permit does come thru.

This New Yorkistan wait shit is 100% BULLSHIT, PA 20 minutes and $20 you have a full carry permit.

I'm heading to PA as soon as I put my retirement papers in!! Oh I'm sure I'd have a nice little stash of cash for some guns by the time I get my permit!!!!

For an update;

Spoke to my investigating officer last week. When I gave them my app number, they giggled telling me that I'm not even in the top drawer of their file cabinet. I was then told that they're up to April... I put my paperwork in in December!!! They're a YEAR BEHIND!!!

I did save up good chunk of change from tutoring, auto repair side jobs, and detailing. It's all gone now though, and there are six guns waiting at various FFL's to be claimed by their rightful owner.

Hell, I live in a county with a very, very pro 2nd judge and it still took me 6 months in 2014.
However, ive been hearing its a bit quicker now.
