It pains me to say as I like them but I would avoid new manufacture S&W revolvers. Both the ones I got had to go back for service right out of the box and one of em I had to send back a second time. Probably better off with a Ruger.
Taurus has been noted for much improved quality lately.
Are you wanting a carry gun or a range gun?
