Well, obviously it happened.

It's the details of the "how" and the "why" that aren't all that trustworthy.

You can either study history, or trust the government. You can't do both.

When someone asks you *why* you believe something, and you fall into "well, it's obvious, anyone who doesn't believe it is crazy" but don't have any actual evidence other than testimonials from the likes of Joe Isuzu then you have to admit that you don’t really know, and it's just an article of faith for you.

It’s enough but all we did was create more terrorists there. We allowed the afghan army to kidnap and rape little boys and girls on our bases and now we handed the country back to the oppressors we promised the good people of Afghanistan their freedom from. All we did was make more people that hate us. Are you proud of that?
Also about joining the military I thought about it I really did, but I decided I can not shoot and kill people for no good reason just because my government told me to do it. I never want to kill anyone but if I ever HAVE to it will be in direct defense of some one else’s life that I can see. I will not invade another country and kill its citizens.

That is the exact guise the government's shills have always used when challenged on their actions; I'm afraid you have been seduced by the sham.
No one is arguing that the Towers came down and thousands were killed with more as a result, but damned if there aren't plenty of very interesting event to occurred just before, during, and after.
