I think that Trump and the Republicans should call for congressional hearings to discuss the real facts regarding "gun violence." They could put John Lott on the panel. They could discuss what firearms are really used in crimes, how those firearms are really acquired, how often "assault weapons" have ever been used in crimes, etc. It'd make the Left's collective head spin.

I could care less what guns are used in crimes. So if at one point all crime were committed with Brown Besses, then they wouild have banned them? The intermediate 30+/- magazine fed rifle is the THE weapon of our time.
