Constitutional Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act of 2023

This bill allows a qualified individual to carry a concealed handgun into or possess a concealed handgun in another state that allows its residents to carry concealed firearms.

A qualified individual must (1) be eligible to possess, transport, or receive a firearm under federal law; (2) carry a valid photo identification document; and (3) carry a valid state-issued concealed carry permit, or be eligible to carry a concealed firearm in his or her state of residence.

UnConstitutional .. Does not pass the Bruen Text of the 2A and not even close in the History ..

While the president doesn't have an official role in drafting legislation, he does have a lot of unofficial power to exercise over the process.

If Trump really wanted to prioritize that, he could make it happen.

The question is what other priorities would suffer for it.

So, if he has to spend time and political capital on a project, would you prefer national CC, or gutting the ATF for instance ?

Maybe replace NICS with just a publicly published list of prohibited persons that you need to check against before selling.

There would be a lot of benefits to that one.

Not the least of which would be watching all the lefties melt down over the demographics of that list LOL.

The legislation is already drafted, Congress doesn't want it and I'm damn sure Trump isn't going to urge them to pass it. I don't think any amount of prioritizing will do anything.
Personally, I think our only recourse with national cc is with SCOTUS, as the 2nd is the only Right that is so heavily restricted.

With control of both houses... It is going to be interesting to see what legislation gets pushed through, regardless of what it is!

Trump's first term he didn't have cooperation despite having both houses then... This time it's different... So we shall see!

My personal feeling on this is that it should absolutely be passed! If drivers licenses and the "permission" to enter any State jurisdiction to exercise a "Privilege" is acceptable, then the ability to exercise a "Right" across borders should not be "Infringed"... It'll be interesting if the subject comes up, again, with the majority of States now having some form of Constitutional Carry, the time may be ripe to get thing done!

As an aside, I would love it for the very fact it'll cause more Linda Blair moments among the disenfranchised progressives!!! But fuck em'... Let them soak in the reversal of all the shot they've been dishing out!

The reciprocity clause in the US Constitution allows for recognition of other states DL's vehicle registrations and contracts.............AND FIREARMS

Many states are in a state of insurrection regarding guns, illegals, drivers licenses for illegals, voting, medicare/medicaid for illegals, cash payments for illegals, housing illegals at tax payer expense.

It will come to a head, legally/physically with US Military involved in this insurrection. initially removing aliens, and likely arresting and detaining State Officials trying to intercede..... and jail time.

It is about time for the American Republic to return to its roots.

IIRC, this is old news from 2023. Personally, I think the RINO's will kill this, short of it being attached to a must pass bill such as the Defense Authorization. WTH, the RINO's are already lining up in the House to do yet another C/R! And the RINO's in the Senate may not stand up to stop more Biden judge picks!

WTF is the matter with these assholes? Wake me when they actually do something good.

This shall be interesting as other state citizens will be carrying standard capacity mags. The whole intention is to allow people to protect themselves wherever they go according to Trump. Other State citizens visiting NY are not going to buy 10rd mags.

If this did ever come into fruition, I wonder how it would apply to the NYC "special carry". Coincidentally, I am in the final stages of obtaining mine, after going for the fingerprinting and final submissions couple months ago. I was then going to go for Utah, Jersey and CT, but will wait and see what shakes out first w/ Trump in office. As we all know, these applications and process, cause a lot time and $! All said and done, will be an easy $1k for me city wise. However, I paid an ex-NYPD officer, to help file all the paperwork, etc. Otherwise, takes FOREVER, between what been missed, incorrect, etc....
