I might pick up a night vision by pulsar. Can’t justify $6k+. I almost bought a flir pts233 a few years ago....flir pulled out of the civilian scope market.

I like Pulsar and own a Pulsar so this is not a dig so to say,,,,,,,,,,but why the hell do you build a top of the line thermal that gets shitty battery life. Removable battery only gets 2 hrs burn,,,so basically 1.5. Non removable battery you get 1.5hr. Pretty crappy if you ask me when the unit costs 6 big bills. Battery life should last at least 8 hrs

My advice would be to buy a Thermal mono and a Night Vision scope. I have a thermal mono and a thermal scope. Unless you spend big bucks on the thermal scope its possible you wont be all that happy when you are looking through it at distance while getting ready for the kill. I remember the NV scope being way less pix-elated when looking through it compared to my bottom line Pulsar RXQ30v scope

I was debating on the 455 and getting ir pills for my night master lights. It is just hard for me to get out in the winter month so it’s hard to justify the purchase.

When it comes to predator hunting,,,,the season is long. You get out way more times than you expect to. Plus,,,even if you dont get out as much as you would of liked, its nice having something that allows you to see in the dark. I catch myself 2 or 3 nights out of the week standing on the front porch looking through the neighborhood with the thermal mono.

Like I said though,,,if you plan on doing it and have the money,,,,buy a thermal mono and a nv scope. The thermal mono keeps you from missing anything. If something is out there you will absolutely see it,,,mark the spot in memory and look through the NV scope, then shoot and hopefully hit it.

You could go cheaper $1200 or $1400 but these are ATN's,,,,,customer service not so good and sensor is pretty crappy,, 160x120 pixel and they have non-changeable batteries

Yeah I have no real interest in a atn. Read too many bad reviews. I would one if it was stupid cheap.

I did research some guides last year. I forget what they get. I’ll look for someone between us.
