"The Hornady 6mm ARC cartridge case uses a 6.5 Grendel bolt, which are commonly available, and shooters of the 6.5 Grendel will find common elements between the two cartridges while also recognizing that the 6mm ARC offers some benefits in addition to the Grendel design. "
What does it do...
I really should start the process. I've been hoping the constitutional carry movement was going to gain more traction, but it hasn't, especially in this state. I still hate the idea of having to "register" any pistol you buy with the county.
I've considered keeping my cheaper AR in the car...
I'm worried about getting stuck in the middle of a "protest" while in my car.
We've seen those videos and they escalate so fast. I dont have a ccw permit, yet, and I often wonder what I would do if caught in the middle of an angry mob while stuck in my car, and they start breaking windows to...
Is XM855 still legal for sale in NY?
I went to my normal supplier, who always has an abundance of XM855 in stock. There was none on the shelf, and not even a spot on the shelf for it.
I wouldnt help to begin with. The only people I would help in my neighborhood is the elderly, regardless of political affiliation. They need to stop being lazy, and take pride in their property.
In July I bought a house. I changed my address through the DMV's online service. But my drivers license still shows my previous address. Will there be an issue during my next nics check? Does the address for the nics check have to match the address on my drivers license?
Thanks.
New AR build in progress.
Ive done cheap budget builds (Basic M4 style carbines) that shoot roughly 2-3 moa with Irons and with standard XM855.
This one is going to be different. The goal is sub MOA. obviously with optics.
My plan is an 18" SPR profile barrel. How important is the BCG to...
Fun gun to shoot. If you dont know much about Type 53's, I'll give a brief. Basically China bought the arsenal tooling for the M44 from the Soviets, And built their own version. Identical to a M44 in everyway, with the exception of the wood used. Machine work is far superior to any wartime built...
Vintage L.E. Wilson Case trimmer. Still trying to figure it out. My only gripe is that with the case gauges you can only trim the case to the SAAMI max length. Not a big deal, but all the loads I've been doing have been using shorter case lengths. But I think this is going to be alot more...
I've shot in CMP matches (which I plan on doing more of soon)
But has anyone here shot in a Precision Rifle Match?
Precision Rifle - Home
Home - National Rifle League
Just wondering if anyone has any advice/information etc...
I really want to build a Model 70. Let me know if anybody knows of a used one for sale.
Needs to be a post '64 push feed action.
Or if anyone has a beat up complete model 70 for sale for a decent price I'd be open to that as well.
Does anybody have a write up, or plans for putting a bench together?
I'm moving and will have alot of room for a good sized bench. I want it big enough to allow a section of it designated for reloading, and another section of it for cleaning/repairs.
I also want it beefy enough to be able to...
The future of the political environment scares me in this state. I'm 26, with a decent job, recent college graduate. I definitely do not see a future for me in this state. I close on a house in a few weeks, and after that I'll be taking it year by year. If things get really bad, I wont hesitate...
If it was a big "problem", landowners wouldn't be trying to make a profit off of it. I wouldn't mind paying a little bit, just as courtesy to use someones land, but if people are actually trying to charge what people are reporting then no way.
I'd gladly pay 50-100 bucks for a whole day...
Something I dont shoot anymore, and with 4 other Mosin's this one needs to go. Like most Type 53's it is ugly and well used. Most of the bluing is worn. Shoots as you would expect. Bore is in good shape.
The stock has two cracks both shown in the pictures, and is missing one of the barrel band...
the overall length is shortened. Well actually the length of how far the magazine sticks out beneath the rifle is shortened when it is curved. A straight magazine would stick out farther than a curved magazine.
Edit: Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. But i think thats why.
I have a used carry handle that needs to be refinished.
I believe originally the aluminum pieces were anodized, and the steel pieces were parkerized. The issue is that the steel pieces like the locking nuts, and one half of the mounting surface are permanently attached. The nuts have been...
Great day on the range today.
I bought this Howa about a year ago, and I haven't had it out much. I would call myself a Remington 700 fanboy, but let me tell you this Howa has impressed me.
I really wanted a "precision rifle" but I didn't have the funds to buy a high dollar 700. I think I paid...

No luck yet, did find a company that can make a copy of one with some high end Cnc wood lathe. But they need an original one for the dimensions. The search goes on.
Im trying to get this old Springfield back together. I’m looking for a Rifle length stock, or even a cutdown rifle stock, that is repairable. No carbine stocks. I know it’s a long shot asking on here, but if anyone has a lead on one, or has any connections let me know. I’m getting desperate.
My range is no longer supplying target stands due to members destroying them (due to carelessness or just poor marksmanship) I’m totally fine with their decision. Any suggestions for a target stand. I need something small enough to easily take to the range in my car, but big enough to hold a...
Have fun! Ive been reloading for almost 8 years now. I started when I was 18 and bought an old Steyr M95, chambered in 8x56R (impossible to find) so it was out of necessity. Now I just enjoy the process, and have fun with it. My biggest suggestion is to never rush any process (especially case...
Not much of a knife guy. But I have made it a habit to make sure I never leave the house without my Gerber Order. Really nice folder that has come in handy a few times. It took me a long time to get into the habit of making sure it’s in my pocket whenever I’m out. Now I feel naked without it.
