I have a Traditions Pro pursuit. Nickel plated makes it super easy to keep clean. In my opinion get an inline that is a break open style (like a single shot rifle/shotgun). My father has a savage inline (bolt action) and its not as easy to clean, taking the breech plug out is a pain, the break...
The last four words of the 2nd amendment, probably the four simplest words in the entire bill of rights, are the only words that matter when interpreting the 2nd.
I'm running out of room and looking for an additional 10-gun steel cabinet. Wondering if anyone has a used one they need gone. I'm located in Oneida County, and I dont mind driving to pick up.
Awesome! Wait till you hold that M1 for the first time. It was a dream come true when I bought mine, and it was quite emotional when I held mine for the first time. Every M1 is truly special. Youre gonna love it!
Adding another caliber to the list of ammo I need to keep stocked is whats stopping me. And,
Unfortunately (for my bank account) my brain is fixated on finishing my collection of U.S. rifles. Still need a Krag, and 03a3, to go with my Garand and my 1903. And hopefully a M1A when I'm in a...
I would hope that they are using rifles that are in a state of disrepair.
On a side note, this reminds me of how my C&R collection isnt complete until I collect a few swiss straight pulls.
Last time I purchased powder, I went to a LGS I have never been to. They put my information in a book. Seems like a store policy.
The LGS I frequently use never takes any information besides checking DOB.
I just picked up my M1 from getting rebarreled. And I just want to say that the fine people at Van Tassels did an amazing job taking care of my beloved Garand. It was well worth the 2 hour drive (each way) and the 2 months I was without my M1.
For anyone in the Utica/Syracuse area, you wont find...
Not a fan of Marlins recently.
My 336 was a remington made rifle, and the fit and finish is not good at all and the action was very rough (still is), granted its a deer rifle and it doesnt need to look nice.
My fathers 1895 is JM marked, made when Marlins were real Marlins, and that rifle is...
The Reloading Authority - Graf & Sons and Ammo, Optics, Bullets & More | Natchez are my go to. Natchez does free hazmat pretty often. Even with hazmat I can get a better deal, than buying local. (as long as you buy in bulk)
I should be eating right around 5000, but ive been struggling to eat that much lately. Ive done about 6 competitions in the last 6 months so its getting old and Im ready for a little break (especially from eating)
I have a coach that does all of the programming, basically three days a week, Two days in the gym generally focusing on the three main lifts, and one day to focus on events for any upcoming shows. I'm a week out from my next show, and I'm ten pounds underweight, I usually like competing with a...
Ive been competing in strongman for a few years. Have state record to my name. Wouldnt say I'm in "preparedness" shape, just the nature of the sport I compete in. But I do take a few months out of the year to focus more on "fitness" and be in a little better shape, usually just from the amount...
Anderson Lower that Primary arms was practically giving away. less than 40 bucks after shipping. Bought a lower parts kit at my FFL and had to pay 0 transfer fee. :flag: :fuac: :salute:
I have zero experience with Ar's. I have never even held one before. So I am looking forward to this project.
Remington 870 Express 12g 18
I bought one just like this (without a magazine extension) for under 300 bucks brand new, from buds a few years ago. Best deal out there, even the one in the link is a great buy. Only recommendation is to replace the cheap extractor
The fit and finish is not very...
shuffs as mentioned before is the best place to send it. His lead time is insane right now. I ended up taking my M1 to Van Tassels gunsmithing up by Fort Drum to get a new barrel installed. He might do parkerizing, worth a shot.
I was very skeptical the first time I bought a gun on GB. But every seller gives you an "no fire" inspection period. I'll only buy from someone with 100% positive reviews, and someone who posts lots of highly detailed pictures. Ive bought five rifles on GB so far, zero problems whatsoever.
Gunbroker is the best source really. I bought a 1918 made aught-three for under 700 bucks, in really good shape. Just rememeber to make sure the serial number is over 800000 (for springfield armory) and over 286000 (For rock island armory) if you plan on shooting it. Anything under those serial...
I believe most of the sheriffs up here have stated there disapproval of the Safe act, including the oneida county sheriff. My biggest concern would be younger LEOs and DA's trying to make a name for themselves.
Cleaning and reloading, throw on some music, total relaxation. I feel at peace stripping my 1903, and M1 down and giving them some cleaning, even when they are already clean. :flag:
