All bets are off right now, everyone is being used non-stop. I’ve snuck in a few extra hours, but most of us are on par with each other.
Simple answer for the other. I’m divorced and see my kids almost every other day. Can’t move far from them. It is what it is. I’m just going to ignore NJ’s...
Man I would but being on the brink of retirement, this overtime has been life changing.
I have everything charted out on my desk (I’m home now) so this is a rough estimate, but since monday I have NOT been on the clock for maybe 15 hours. Today is only the 2nd day I have left at 1700 after...
Asking about our families is dumb.
First, if I said they deserve it, you wouldn’t believe me anyway so why ask?
Second (as shown already), if I say they would intentionally go up to a cop aggressively and start touching them, you say that doesn’t matter because “it could happen to any of us.”...
Then I hope it’s true that the blue flu is set for today. Or at the least, the horse blinders find their way to every remaining cop’s eyes. Way better for the city to burn than for a cop to be arrested for political pandering.
They got arrested?!?
Wow talk about serving notice on your cops that they shouldn’t be doing jack.
Any cop in Buffalo who risks themselves during these riots is a fool. Let it burn. Better than going to jail for some fragile snowflake who thinks he can touch you.
They barely touched him. End of story. This isn’t a constitutional issue, I mentioned no such thing. Don’t start confusing the conversation on purpose.
I have to surmise that there was something ahead and the supervisor was directing him to continue. That second guy does stop and go over the radio, likely calling for help. As usual, we’re only shown a small clip. They may have brought up a medic second later (we’ve had them staged nearby...
But that’s the key here, he was barely touched. It was very clearly a little tap to get him out of the cop’s personal space, which he had already broken by touching him.
We cannot be responsible for knowing that the person who just rushed up to us and TOUCHED us is a fragile geezer. I’ve fought...
I get that this cancels everything I’ve said over the last two weeks and brings me right back into the, “he defends them EVERY time camp,” but I won’t apologize for it. This guy was barely touched. He was clearly too fragile to be out there acting tough. That’s his problem.
And just to clarify...
He was barely touched. If you’re that fragile, don’t get tough with cops, sorry. For all my time spent not doing jack, I still don’t let anyone touch me.
Oh well.
Like I said earlier, society needs to wake the fuck up and stop accepting retarded behavior AND then only holding cops accountable for the results. Sorry, but here’s the reality: there are things in life you just can’t do. Pops apparently didn’t learn that lesson over his previous 75...
They probably were trying to avoid making arrests, by order.
Cops right now are getting conflicting orders left and right from every angle. I’ve take the “don’t do anything” approach, but many still feel that they should work for their pay.
Nice! Way to stay strong. We have to reject the idea that cops have to act perfect in the face of deviancy. I don’t mean ignoring criminal behavior, but little shit like this in the face of what is going on should not lead to suspensions. Otherwise our only choice is to do nothing at all.
It's starting to really look like I will take a knee on March 30th, 2021.
Both knees really, as I reach to the sky and scream, "Hallelujah! Free at last, free at last! Great God almighty, I am free at last!"
I really, really hope these initiatives continue. The more bail money these people raise, the more they get out to continue their shit, which means MORE OVERTIME!!!
My biggest fear right now is that it ends before I reach at least 100 hours. I'm at 30 as of this moment.
You ain’t kidding. And honestly it’s already getting old. I go back to work tomorrow at 0500 and won’t be out until at least 1700 Saturday. And that’s the second time this week I am doing that.
