And judging by the huge number of sick scene cred I got via likes on my posts, I'm not the only one who feels arbitrary rules are foolish.
On a gun forum, who woulda thought.
At the risk of sounding butthurt, I'll reply.
I guess you misunderstood my posts. I'm not being defensive, I don't even post in the classifieds lol. This has nothing to do with me personally, I've just seen forums go to shit because of little stupid things like this. You start restricting what...
Just want to mention that I wear what you'd consider skinny jeans. Jussayin. We're not all bad.
Yes that is a S&W in my pocket and not I'm not happy to see you. ;)
Wouldn't all of that be done in the main post in an edit? It would have to be anyways if the thread was locked correct? ;)
I just scrolled through the entire first page of the classifieds and there is only ONE thread over 1 page long. It's on its second page. Again, I say this is a non issue...
So an unbiased third party experience with a weapon is irrelevant to a buyer? Every review is a third party using one particular item and isn't directly relevant to the exact item in question. How could someone saying something positive about an item for sale possibly hurt the sale?
None of what I've posted has anything to do with me. I've been on and moderated enough forums to be able to provide actual insight into the issue whereas you've done nothing even close to the same. All you've done is get upset about people posting in for sale threads and you've provided zero...
PM sent has to be the single worst post in a for sale thread ever, besides "those are junk don't buy them."
Then you get some guy whining that he said he PMd first when someone else didn't post and just sent a PM. Let's not get ridiculous here. There's basically no discussion going on in ANY...
Who cares? It'll help a potential BUYER. If I say "Yeah this thing runs great" a buyer might go "Hey check it out this guy says it is good maybe I should look into this".
That should make the SELLER happy.
I agree. Now what qualifies as relevant? Obviously "wow shiny" doesn't, how about "I've got this same model, runs great glws" does that count? Others here seem to think not, I think it does, it's an unsolicited confirmation of the reliability of the item in question right?
Which really brings...
Nothing is that simple. Especially in politics. Judges can flip on you. Some money gets moved around. Deals get made.
I bet cuomo would surprise you if all federal money was withheld. Trump also needs to angle for reelection in 8 years, not piss off everyone more than he already has.
Call me...
Where did I ever say people should be able to hijack a thread? I said it was stupid to turn off discussion in a for sale thread when that discussion will likely be beneficial to the buyer and is in no way detracting from the sale. Try again. :banghead:
It makes complete sense you're just being intentionally naive. It's a place to buy and sell things not a place for "business".
If you're confused by the difference then maybe try adding "business" to difference adjectives and seeing how they change? Casual vs business casual, lunch vs business...
That's not the argument at all. It's just a minor point in a much bigger argument about the type of place this is supposed to be. When I got here from nyf the whole mantra was "Less rules! Less strict! More laid back!"
Seems like not everyone subscribed to that.
It's a place for PEOPLE to buy and sell firearms and accessories. Not businesses. I already covered this, a business is obviously welcome to sell but this place isn't designed to accommodate BUSINESSES it's designed to accommodate enthusiasts. People. Hobbyists. People that like to talk about...
Hi I'm back. The new direction of this thread has piqued my interest. You've aroused my curiosity.
I'm at work and can't dedicate all of my attention to this so I'm already running out of double entendres unfortunately.
I'm so glad you used this word, because it allows me to clarify my point! :)
THIS IS NOT A PLACE OF BUSINESS. It's a DISCUSSION forum. I'm not a mod, admin, or owner, but from my perspective optimizing this place for BUSINESS is a mistake. This isn't a place for businesses to list their...
That sounds ridiculous and overly complex lol. It's a gun forum dude. We're here to talk about guns. If a casual conversation related to an item for sale pops up what's that really hurt? I've seen TWO people be annoyed by it ever in my entire life. The OP and the guy in the mini 14 thread...
and if it is buried in other posts someone might not find it. Bumps never hurt anyone or anything. I personally used the "new posts" link almost exclusively here, sometimes i miss this. If it gets bumped I'm more likely to notice it.
Yeah, I'm on some of those and it is horrible. There's a lot of positive discussion that comes from sale threads even if there's times when it can just be nonsense, either way it doesn't effect the sale even if it gets the sellers jimmies all rustled every time he sees an update.
Well this isn't a seller oriented forum. It's not a storefront or an e-commerce store. Maybe you can get your own section where those rules apply if that's what you would like, I'm sure everyone wouldn't mind have a dealer only section. It would even help with any apprehensive buyers to know...
What difference does it make really though? The first post is the only one that really matters to anyone, anything after that is extra info, or at the very least a bump.
So the OP has to answer the question via PM then go back and edit the post? So that's twice rather than once at the very least, and more likely three times since it'll take the same question twice before they bother to edit the post out of annoyance.
Again this isn't a professional gun selling...
The biggest thing we have going for us in that department is that Trump is from NY and is at least fully aware of the nonsense here. I doubt it'll count for much though.
I hate when forums do that, its ridiculous IMO. You end up answering the same questions via PM and on top of that, you answer them more than once since no one can see the replies. Basically everything there has been related to the gun for sale.
This isn't an ecommerce store, it's not a selling...
They really work great in the dark. The tritium is very bright and the fiber optic dissappears. They're fine during the day too, but if you wanted to carry with them I'd recommend training with them a lot.
