I would still call just to inquire nicely. Shit happens. Things get lost. My sister's permit was sent to the wrong address. I wouldn't assume everything is fine. It most likely is, but no harm in asking for an update.
Similar thing happened to me this summer when we went to the Italian festival. Walking up toward the entrance i noticed they were wanding folks so i told the wife i forgot something in the truck. She wanted to know what i left in there and she wouldn't let it rest and i didn't want to tell her...
Just held one of these next to the G19 yesterday and was thoroughly surprised that the grip on this felt excellent compared to the 19. I would never have thought that, being that my hands are pretty small. I've fired the 19x but couldn't get past the stupid cutout in the front of the grip. The...
I wanna get more mags for mine, but i don't need the specific FDE M9A3 ones with the special coating that the gun comes with. I'd imagine 92FS or M9A1 mags work for this. No?
Probably duty belt off, holding holster with his left hand, pushes gun into it, something catches... Kapow!
Glad no-one was next to him. Could've been alot worse.
It's "pinned". Someone i know has one of these and the pinning process didn't completely "take" if you know what i mean, lol
Mine's in perfect NY order. I quite like mine.
Tinman, Let us know how it shoots and update us on the decocking process. And by us, i mean me.:p
Ruger ARX polycase 65gr +P in the 43. Can't seem to find it anywhere anymore in any iteration though. Very light shooting, reliable and accurate. Maybe a bit gimmicky, but the gun is noticeably lighter to carry than with 140gr whatever.
Same one i got and from the same place too. Definitely get the decocker kit. I started a thread last week about inadvertently engaging the safety during a steel shoot. It shoots great otherwise. Just need to get used to the sights. I'm used to lining up the tops and dots of the front and rear...
I don't have any revolvers yet, but my VP9 hasn't hiccuped even once yet. Nor has my 43. I would trust my life to either one of those guns. Not sure what my first wheel gun will be. Competing with one will be a bit of a learning curve though, for sure.
So I've been competingin a weekly steel target league and i took my M9A3 for the first time this week. I had only shot it once before at the range. So i line up for my first round, timer beeps, i draw, pull... Nothing. Fuck. Safety is on. I'd swear i had it off but nevertheless it cost me alot...
Don't fret too much. My wait was 20 months. That was frigging torture.
Take the intro to concealed carry class with FTWNY. James is great and very knowledgeable. He will answer ALL the questions you have... factually. Not just "i heard this or that"
Probably because she left it unattended in a cabinet that people routinely used for other things. If it remained on her person, we wouldn't be reading about this.
You did it wrong. When you have your "boat accident" you're not supposed to actually throw the guns overboard. Duh.

I thought about getting carry insurance but noticed the fine print that said your coverage is void if the incident occurs in a gun free zone or anyplace where guns are otherwise prohibited... Which would be the most likely place you'd need it. No thanks.
Nice insight. I will eventually have all three, but just deciding which order to do them in. Looking like the 1911. Hopefully by the time I've got enough saved up, they'll have another magazine and holster special.
It depends on which one i get. The Glock would be for carrying around the house and woods just in case. The Jericho a range toy and the 1911 perhaps a carry piece sometimes and maybe some informal competition.
Do they even make 10 round mags for the 2.0 compact? I like that gun, but nobody has one around here and finding them online with ten rounders is challenging.
Man. Just about everybody is rooting for the 1911. Don't you guys understand that would require patience? Meaning i can't have it now. That's a problem for me, lol. Probably the prudent decision tho.
That's what I've seen. Sure a 500 or 454 would be great, but i ain't lugging that thing around in the woods and even if i did, drawing it would be nearly impossible to do in a big hurry. I read an article where 9mm's were effective at stopping bears 97% of the time and the one time it wasn't...
I know. 9mm for bears is not ideal, but other than 22lr that's all i have pistol wise and it'll be that way for a while until i get my first revolver. I don't want to have a whole bunch of different caliber guns. I like to keep it simple. Besides, if i get mauled or killed by a bear whilst...
The Glock would be for protection so it would likely be used for informal double tap competitions as well. The 1911 would be for occasional carry and also some competitive use. The Jericho would be just to have a fun range gun.
I totally agree with the variety aspect of acquiring firearms, so I've got DAO's, DA/SA's, striker fire, hammer fire from lots of different manufacturers. I don't have that 1911 yet tho. My dream Wilson Combat would be the EDC X9. Not happening any time soon though. The Jericho would totally be...
Hey folks, it's been a while. Just moved a month and a half ago so it's been a busy summer. Now that it's a bit less crazy, the itch for a new gun is taking hold. I've got three possible choices on the immediate radar. I've got a couple others that require incentives from the manufacturer, so...
I was able to shoot one a few weeks ago. One of the guys at a local range had one and offered to let me shoot it. Two takeaways from it. One, it was weird having so many rounds in one magazine (I think it had 17), and second, it shoots extremely flat. Almost no muzzle flip at all. Felt very...
I have rather small hands and when I shot the Gen 5 it was noticeably uncomfortable. I agree with what someone else said, that it's a pretty poor design idea for being able to rip out a stuck mag. Having the cutouts on the side would make much more sense comfort wise, and biomechanics wise.
Man. Double disappointment so far. Ordered a DeSantis speed scabbard from Amazon and the holster was completely wrong. They sent a Blackhawk something or other for a Storm. Some douche probably swapped them and returned it. Then I headed out to the range for the double tap event, and they were...
Glock 43 for the win. Just shoots effortlessly and places rounds dead nuts on target.
Had a shield. Was a great gun. Solidly built. For the money couldn't be beat. Got it $199 out the door. I didn't shoot it well, so I sold it.
It came with three mags, so I can use it in the double tap competitions. I'll do quick range report on it. Was just fondling it, and man, the action is silky smooth.
I just need to get a holster for it. Something leather, owb. Any suggestions? All my holsters are kydex so far.
