I had a hi-point carbine in .45. It was flawless for thousands of rounds.

I had two Sub 2000's and they were both complete garbage. Rarely got through a mag without a malfunction. I will buy one of these as soon as I can find one.

I bought a 10 fcp sr when they were $450 ish after the rebate. The stock is just Ok but for that price I thought it was a great overall rifle. I'm used to the trigger but might look to improve it later down the road.

Just start with a Savage and go from there :wave: All kidding aside the BA stealth is pretty a decent out of the box chassis rifle for a decent price. It's not a 5k rifle but it's a good starter rifle.

Exactly. Everyone has their own comfort level. Some use a rifle or shotgun for HD. Some think an outdated rail less gun is ok.

Not everyone uses 10 round mags in a nightstand gun. The sight radius can make a difference and for someone concerned about velocity why would you not want more barrel? Bigger does not have to mean 19 vs. 17. A 19 for carry and a 31 for the night stand could be an option for some.

Some like to leave a night stand gun locked up in the night stand. Might as well get the bigger of the two for that.
